Modal Modulation (Patreon)

Modal Modulation is changing the mode of riff or lick. For instance, Hells Bells by AC/DC could be played in Lydian, Phrygian, Dorian, or whatever mode you wanted. This adds a different color and feel to the music. If you're interested in composing and songwriting, try this with your own riffs. It gives them more mileage from your material and also allows you to explore different emotions.
