Here’s an acoustic etude targeting chord inversions. I’ve also included a number of compositional devices including, contrary motion, modulation, augmented sixth chords and secondary dominants. I’ll leave a free link to the tab in my stories for 24 hours if you’d like a closer look.  Sometimes I write music just to practice a theory concept I’m trying to get more comfortable with. Doesn’t have to be epic and it’s not about “waiting for inspiration to strike.” More of a forced thing. What kind of music do you want to write in an ideal world...how does it sound in your head?
