💪 MOVE IT OR LOSE IT
Monday morning is typically when I feel the most down. You're coming off that weekend high and just not in the mood to get back to work. When I feel negative thoughts closing in around me, I turn to my secret weapon....MOVEMENT. Exercise pushes blood and oxygen through our neural pathways, enhancing mood and expanding our perspective. When I get back from a run, suddenly my problems don't seem as dire. The natural flush of chemicals like Norepinephrine and Neurotrophic Factor actually grow nerve cells in the brain!
🍆 REVEALING MY BBC
Optimizing your personal performance comes down to one key thing....MINDSET. It's really hard to maintain a healthy outlook on life with distractions like instagram, tik tok and youtube. The content we watch can influence our well being without us even realizing! My BBC method is a 3 step process to rewire your brain for massive gains, setting up a firewall against social media. First BELIEVE you're capable of overcoming the challenges in your life. This isn't easy to do when everyone is trying to trip you up. Step two is BREAKDOWN. Analyze exactly what's causing the problem and devise a simple plan to begin chipping away at your goals. The final step is CELEBRATING your wins. I set aside Wednesday afternoons to congratulate myself. I get some cheat snacks and watch a movie, or goof off on guitar. Don't skip this part! It's crucial that you invest in your emotional reserves to maintain the strength to keep going
⭐️ RIFF LORD BOOTCAMP
Once you clear your mind with exercise and change your perspective with my BBC method, it's time to write a riff. Set aside time in a quiet place where you can use the F word, FOCUS. Dwell on inspiring thoughts to initiate a FLOW STATE. I do this by playing a drone track on YouTube while thinking of a powerful story. For example, the Ancient Greek myth of the battle of Troy. Begin pedaling on your low E string while selecting melody notes from a specific scale. Introduce counterpoint phrases, chord progressions and melodies to develop musical seeds. Before you know it, the creative juices begin to flow and you've got something special cooking!
