I think it's Melissa's way of showing us how Elena is seeing and hearing through what I guess is a drug induced haze. In other word it's deliberate.

Honestly at the end of this I'm kind of hoping for an ending that's slightly dark. At least darker than the ending of job for a MILF which I found somewhat dissapointing.

this is the type of part that i love, where the main focus is the age progression, one of my main interest of this story (the other is the cultural change). the blurry eyesight and the problem with earring are AWESOME details that will make his mind fall more into the aging middle-aged woman role maybe the problems with focusing are due to some drugs given to him that make it look like "she" is beginning to have some brain problems like dementia, alzheimer or something like this

i agree, i would love to see a very BAD ending that will leave us more sorry for the protagonist than we actually were at the start i would like for Marina to have nothing to do with all of this, like in MODEL where the feminization was done on the back of the protagonist's girlfriend by her friends

I wouldn’t be surprised if all of this is also setting up to get “Elena” to think that her being Andrew is a delusion and has always been Elena. Hell, making the evidence of Elena’s existence would be easy these days with deepfakes being a thing. Instead of just going the hypnosis route like most stories do, instead they’ll present Andrew with a false reality where all evidence suggests that “she” must really be Elena and he convinces himself

I found the "age dysphoria" comment from the doctor interesting. So, he knows "Elena" was formerly a 20-something man who desires to live as a 50-something woman with a husband and adopted daughters? Well, at least in Elena's manufactured backstory from Marina and her cousins. And I am DYING to find out what happened "yesterday" that kicked all this into overdrive. Interesting new development!

i would like that. in Chapter 12 we saw a hint of that when Elena talked with Sofia about the Mysterious Man that she meet and in the discussion, Sofia say something like "Mom, you are still daydreaming of being a young man", so your idea isn't far from what may happen

This is sooo devilishly delicious! Someone has tricked Andrew into agreeing to all these extra procedures. If Marina isn't in on it, then she'll definitely never believe Andrew doesn't want to permently become Elena now! Excited to see how the new and improved Elan turns out, what happened yesterday, and whose behind Andrew's drugging. So many mysteries!
