Marina has always been the character I've been uncomfortable about throughout the story, so many little incidents have fueled my concerns about her part in Andrew's transformation, eventually things will come to light.

Looking at it objectively, Nikos has been kind and supportive throughout which is in contrast to Marina, she seems to have been distant towards Andrew/Elena since Andrew first dressed as Elena, she's hardly been there at all in a supportive manner whereas Nikos from the off has been the complete gentlemen, supportive and loving, he treats Elena with the utmost respect and cherishes every moment he's with her, no wonder Elena is now taking advantage of a lifestyle with a person that truly loves her.....

Exactly. Emotionally weakened by what her "daughters" did and Marina is doing, Elena clung to the only person who did not act with the apparent intention of harming her.
