It's S&F Extra time! So here's a behind-the-scenes look at a bunch of my work!

In the gallery above, you'll find the full sized images of each piece, as well as some sketches and timelapse making-of GIFs! And down here, I'll provide some info about each one.

Visit the Item Shop 2 and 3
In the gallery above, you'll find parts 2 and 3 of my "fake DLC store" comic! (The joke about the currencies is my favourite.)

I also made some alternate vertical/tall versions, as they'll need to be that shape when they run on the Sam and Fuzzy website! You'll find those versions at the end of the gallery.

Slow Your Roll
You may recall the Slow Your Roll pin design I shared here a couple months back. Well, I decided I wanted to make a tshirt version of it, too! In the gallery, you'll find an animated making-of GIF that shows how I took the original pin design and altered/expanded. A shirt design has a lot more space to work with, and it also allows for a more organic amount of lineweight variation. I think it turned out really well!

Monopoly/Stripopoly Commissions
So, lemme tell you about these two commissions! Saucy Hippo backers got to see the later piece last year... but there is an interesting story behind them that I don't think I ever shared here. (The later also has some really elaborate colouring... so check out the animated making-of GIF in the gallery above to see it come together!)

Both commissions were for a long time reader. In 2015, they wanted to get a board game-themed Sam and Fuzzy commission, and we wound up settling on a "Ninja Mafia Monopoly" that had all sorts of extra weird rules. (Some of which might have even involved stripping.)

Well, as I'm sure you can probably guess, this idea wound up serving for the inspiration for the Ninja Stripopoly game that wound up appearing in my Saucy Hippo comics! The reader was pretty delighted to learn that this commission wound up having such an impact. So years later, they decided to get another commission... this time of a Stripopoly game between two of my characters and two of their own OCs.

And thus, this unusual commission was born... a Stripopoly game featuring Jess and Ruby alongside guest stars Alex and Lita! I wrote the dialogue for my characters, while the commissioner handled their own. (In the gallery, you'll find an alternate spicier version of this piece as well, although it's still technically SFW.)

Anyway, I was just reminded of this piece recently because I'm actually doing another commission right now for that same reader, featuring Ruby and Alex again. So I thought it'd be a fun time to share this story!

Pet Portraits
Here's a nice pair of fresh pet portraits for y'all! First off, we've got a cat dressed up as his namesake from The Witcher. And second, we've got a good old lab just chilling out. I've been getting quite a few online pet portrait requests lately for some reason! It's been a good warm up for the summer con season, when I'm sure I will one again be drawing a truly bonkers number of these.

Spooky Bitch
Last but not least... here's one more new shirt design!

Spooky Bitch was actually a collaboration between me and my partner, Jesi! We brainstormed the basic idea of "Spooky bitch" + dog cartoon, but I couldn't come up with a visual for it that I liked. So Jesi sketched out their take on the idea!

I really liked the energy of what Jesi came up with, so I mocked up a colour scheme on top of it and then brought it into Photoshop to do a polished version. You'll find an animated making-of GIF of this process in the gallery!

I really like this design! It has a bad word on it, which I know will limit its audience a little. But hopefully there are lots of spooky bitches out there who'd like one.

Thanks, everyone! 'til next time!
