S&F Extra - June 2023 (Patreon)

It's S&F Extra time! Here's a behind-the-scenes look at what I worked on last month.

In the gallery above, you'll find the full sized images of each piece, as well as some timelapse making-of GIFs! And down here, I'll provide some info about each one. (As well as links to video versions of the timelapses, when I have 'em!)

Dev: Master of Seduction
These were some HIGH LABOUR pages, team... a tricky composition to figure out, with a lot of complicated workout poses and fitness equipment to reference. But I'm really happy with how they turned out!

I sketched out my rough panel ideas on the iPad, but then moved over to Photoshop on the computer to do the full pencils/inks/colours, to make sure they matched the look of the other pages in the Dev/X that I've been making for the Saucy Hippo.

Sick as Hell
The summer comic convention season is fast approaching, so I've been busy designing some new t-shirts to debut at the shows! I originally sketched out this design just as a joke, but eventually became convinced it was actually a good idea. Hopefully I was right!

The shirt colour I used for the mockup wasn't available, so I pivoted to the blue-tinted "Tropical" shirt colour. I really like this colour scheme!

Dream the Impossumble/Impossumible Dream
This is another shirt I explored, although I ultimately decided not to make it for now! I think it's a funny drawing, but I'm not sure it would sell. My personal experience has been that people like graphic tees that say something about them... their vibe, their interest, or their personality. I'm not sure this one really does that! (I also had trouble picking a shirt colour, as you can see.)

I may still make this one later to sell online. But for the summer cons, I gotta feel confident enough to print like a hundred of them. It's a big gamble, and I guess I don't wanna play those odds on a flying possum. Sorry, pal!

Last but not least, here's a brand new variant of an older Cynthia portrait that I made recently for my new pin-up-focused social media. (Which is "saucycomics" on both twitter and instagram, btw.) I wanted to preview some censored versions of some of my nsfw Saucy Hippo patreon stuff to advertise the tier, and figured I'd get a little more creative than just using censor bars. There's also a clothed SFW version of this one, too... you'll find it in the gallery above.
