It's S&F Extra time! Here's a behind-the-scenes look at what I worked on last month.

In the gallery above, you'll find the final version of each piece, as well as some animated GIFs of how some of them came together.  And down here, I'll provide some info about each one!

Platformer Characters
These are some of my favourite pieces I've drawn for the series so far! I'm particular fond of the Shadow piece, which turned out precisely as stupid as I wanted. Croc is a real oddball here, as it's one of the only games I've drawn for this series that I've never actually played before... but I thought it's history as a reworked Yoshi game pitch made it an interesting footnote in platformer history!

Beach Day
These two pages appeared as part of the Sam and Baker storyline currently running on my main website. I'm so happy with how these pages turned out!

You'll find a full making-of GIF in the gallery above! I thought this would be a fun one to share because of the colouring. (The planet is, of course, a photo from NASA.)

Super Pets
I'm back out there on the con circuit this summer -- at least for the shows with decent covid safety policies. And that means... I'm back to drawing pet portaits!

Here are four of my favourite superhero-themed portraits from this year's San Diego Comic Con. You'll find larger photos of each one in the gallery above!

Poker Cards
These three cards were drawn as part of a strip-poker themed series I've been doing for the Saucy Hippo tier. In the end there'll be 13 of 'em! (With both PG and NSFW versions of each one... these three are the former, of course.)

In the gallery above, you'll find a making-of GIF that shows how I assembled the template I'm using for the cards themselves. I drew the character art by hand on paper, but I tried to make the actual cards look more like they were a real photographed physical item by applying some texturing and lighting to them.

To pick the characters for these, I turned to this year's Saucy Hippo survey! There was a section of the poll where people could indicate their favourite character for pin-ups... every character who was the favourite of at least one backer will be included in the series. As a result, the full set is gonna include a pretty wide array of faces from throughout S&F history, including some less-seen folks like Andrea, Candice, Roan, and Sasha!
