It's S&F Extra time! Here's a behind-the-scenes look at what I worked on last month.

In the gallery above, you'll find the final version of each piece, as well as some animated GIFs of how some of them came together.  And down here, I'll provide some info about each one!

Pandering
This was a fun comic to make! It was interesting mashing up my old "colouring" style with my current one. In the making of GIF above, you'll notice I've been experimenting with drawing my comics on even larger paper (11x16 instead of 10x14), then shrinking the art down as needed to fit the final layout. Gives me a bit more flexibility to slightly adjust the relative sizes of each panel!

Game Knights
Here's a sneak peek at three more inked drawings for my Platformer game series! This time we have:
-Plague Knight (from Shovel Knight)
-Meta Knight (from Kirby)
-Arthur (from Ghosts and Goblins)
A trio of knights! How thematic. You can look forward to seeing these guys turn up in full colour in the future, alongside a bunch of other platform stars.

Buffified Cynthia and Edwin
For those who don't know, comic publishers often print special "sketch cover" editions... comic book issues printed with blank cardstock covers, so that an artist can draw an original sketch on 'em. A reader at a recent convention appearance asked me to draw some of my characters on his sketch cover edition of a Buffy comic, and this was the result!

I will admit... I honestly know almost nothing about Buffy. But I know there are vampires in it, so I drew my two favourite S&F vampires in Buffy costumes pulled from google images. ART!

Summertime Ginger
This commission is the latest addition to my long running series of drawings for social media science dogs Bunsen and Beaker. It's the newly added third member of their team, Ginger the cat, dressed up in a big summer dress and hat.

Dev the Writer pin-up
You'll find a GIF of the full making-of process for this piece in the gallery above! It was very involved... I wanted to do something interesting with the lighting, to create a hot feeling. (Possibly because my own condo has been positively roasting lately.) This piece was originally drawn for the Saucy Hippo tier, so you'll find a "nsfw" version over there if you're interested.

Anyhow, we all have our hobbies! Dev's, as it turns out, is writing. What kind of stuff does she write? Well, now you might have some idea.

Thanks, everyone!
