It's S&F Extra time! Here's a behind the scenes look at what I worked on last month.

In the gallery above, you'll find the final version of each piece, as well as some step-by-step animated process GIFs.  And own here, I'll provide some info about each piece!

Suggest-a-Fuzzy
This big group shot of weird alternate versions of Fuzzy was drawn entirely based on the suggestions of Kickstarter backers. You can see the original drawing in the gallery above, but I've also included a key here to explain what each Fuzzy is meant to be. (Some of them are pretty obscure!)

Astronaut Bunsen
Here's another commission I did for Bunsen, the social-media-science-dog. Not much to say about this one, but I think it turned out really cute!

Literate Fuzzy
This is a cute, simple little image that I put together for the new Sam and Fuzzy Kickstarter page. I wanted something cute and iconic that would help convey that these are some big honkin' books! In retrospect, this was the obvious way to do it, but I actually didn't think of it until a day or two before I had to launch the Kickstarter. Ha!

Cats
This was an interesting commission! Despite having drawn many, many pet portraits in my time, all of the tortiseshell cats I've drawn in the past were with markers. I actually have a whole system for colouring tortie cats specifically, layering specific markers in specific ways.

But this commission was drawn with digital colouring, not markers! So I had to figure out HOW exactly I wanted to stylize such complicated markers in a digital colouring style. As you'll see in the process GIF, I actually wound up going back and recolouring it a second time before landing on the final version. I think it turned out nice, though!

Trevor throughout Time
Oh, Trevor! Just for fun, I thought I'd include some before-and-after GIFS here of all the pieces I edited Trevor into, as well as larger images of the cover versions. Enjoy!

Thanks again, friends! See you next time.
