Gert lets her hair down (Patreon)

Gert hits the showers in a new marker pin-up! You'll find it in the Recent Additions folder of the Pin-Up Vault. You'll also find a bonus sketch of an alternate version of the Dev shower piece from a few months back. (Both pieces are NSFW.)

The Dev sketch is a historical curiosity, from when I briefly considered having her posing for the "camera" instead of having a private moment. It was the first nude I'd ever drawn of her, so I was really overthinking how to approach it conceptually. 

The Gert piece was inspired by two things. One: I wanted to see what she might look like with her hair down! And two, I wanted a piece I could use as an example of a nsfw commission. 

A lot of my stuff is "all ages" friendly. My convention booth in particular is covered in stuff that attracts children! So when I'm putting out example commissions, it can be a little tricky to convey that I do some nsfw material without scaring off parents with kids from the rest of my work. (Even a censored sample piece can do that for some people!) I am having the same problem with the VOTE DOG Kickstarter page. Although I'm happy to do nsfw pin-up commissions for that project -- whatever helps fund the book! -- I don't really want to post any examples, because the book itself is kid-friendly.

Long story short, I thought maybe I could draw an example piece that conveyed that I drew racier stuff, but that was not actually too scandalous in and of itself. With Gert's hair down, I figured I could do a tasteful nude, using her hair to mostly censor the naughty bits.

But... it really didn't make sense for Gert's hair to be waist long, even undone. So, I shortened it, and she just wound up extremely bottomless. Mission failed! Cute drawing, though, I think!
