The Dictatorship - A Fictional Essay (Patreon)

Last week, I put out a poll asking what everyone wanted as the next piece of content. Imagine my surprise when The Dictatorship won! In any case, I wanted to give it a shot. I originally planned to write this using traditional prose. Still, I decided to go for a different approach: imagining it as an essay written by a journalist part of a group lucky enough to visit this unnamed country and get to "understand" it.

Word of note: The content is decidedly fictional but draws parallels with past dictatorships to help this fictionalised work. I hope you enjoy reading this rather meaty "essay."
