I haven't been able to paint much recently.

I enjoy painting daytime. The sunset picture I painted the other day is nice to look at now.

But I want to paint something more like night.

Wandering light. Or a deep-sea fish.

A city of neural circuits. Transport trucks and roads.

I need time.

Recently, I've been ingesting reading and movies.

I have never been a book person, but I bought about 40 books at a used bookstore.

An introduction to physics, some books on brain science, a book on galaxies, a book on biology, a book on semiotics, a history of Chinese characters, a book on symbols and semiotics, an essay novel, a science fiction novel, etc. Goethe's color theory is especially worth reading.

Even if you think you are buying books in disparate fields, the books you buy often mention or quote the books you buy.

Speaking of which, I made a bookmark.

(The drawing of the bookmark is also part of the nightly things to be painted.)

Movies were another thing I avoided "for money, time, and heart".

I've also seen some classics that people are surprised I haven't seen yet."

Blade Runner, Soylent Green, They Live, Turin Horse, Lucky, etc.

I especially enjoyed Godard's Alphaville. This is so great... This movie was also linked to some great books I bought.

Besides that, I have been experimenting with different sounds in Cubase.

I feel that when I touch the chords, I develop a sense of color.

I still can't paint the night...something I want to paint.

I need time.

This is the process of seeking.

When they are ready, I plan to sell bookmarks by mail order.

Also, I'm thinking of selling posters.

I had forgotten about those stick-style room keys for the lights. 懐かしい。。。

The exterior staircase in warm colors my distant early memory tells me I have seen before, in some way or place that was pleasant and I want to re experience.
