Hmm, all the time while watching I was hoping you'd mention graph paper! I think, doodling on those little squares, many students will create the universal S out of pure boredom. Heck, I probably did! Still, really interesting video!

As soon as this came out last year, about a week later I was walking to the train station near my house and this "S" was drawn on the wall.... it hadn't been there or maybe I hadn't noticed it before.... but... yeah. I've never felt more uneasy about this symbol in my life.

Just stumbled across this video and it gained you a new subscriber! So well put together! Also, if you're interested in exploring the "Universal S" further, as far as I'm aware, I have access to the archives containing notes and papers by Professor Willson. If it really was something he devised in educating students, it's possible he mentioned it in his lecture notes, etc.
