Another Update (Patreon)

So we're closing in on two months since the last video so it's about time I give you guys an update.

I've mainly been working on that Solar System documentary I mentioned in the last update. I've completed the scripts for Mercury and Venus while the scripts for Earth, Mars, and Jupiter still need some work. Will start working on Saturn and Uranus next and eventually Neptune and Pluto sometime after that. Pluto ain't no dwarf in my eyes goddammit!

I intend to cover each planet in nine separate videos released over nine weeks as a mini-documentary series. However it is still a long way from completion. Who knew that condensing centuries of astronomical history into a few short paragraphs would be time-consuming? But I hope to have all nine videos completed before the end of the year.

Don't have much to show you yet as I'm still in the scripting and researching phase and the visual stuff comes much later. One of the few things I have right now is this speed modeling video of a Soviet spacecraft.

In short, I needed a 3D model of Venera 1 to test some animation ideas I had for the Venus video but as I couldn't find a reasonably detailed model online I ended up creating one myself.

Of course, I'm also working on smaller projects that I intend on releasing in the meantime. I have two such videos in the pipeline right now. One about a mystery and one about future technology. But this is changing all the time. I never really know what the next video will be until a few weeks or even days before release. Sometimes I spend weeks on a video only to realize it isn't going to work so I have no choice but to scrap it and start from scratch. In any case, I hope to release a new video by the end of this month or early August at the latest.
