On (most) Sundays, I hop on Twitter spaces with Scott Mendelson and we run down the top 5 movies at the box office this weekend. I'm sharing it as an audio podcast here on my Patreon!

This week, Barbarian is a pleasant surprise at the box office. But nothing else is.

The audio compression on these spaces is bad enough; for all that is good in the universe, can someone please get Scott a decent microphone? and teach him how to use it (and maybe tell him he really shouldn't be eating or drinking, when recording)?? Not sure how much more mic. clipping / slurping / chewing / coughing / misc. clicks / background noises I can listen to. It literally hurts my ears. Content is great - presentation is unnerving.

While Scott’s audio quality can be rough to get through, I’ve personally come to think of it as a part of his “character” during these spaces and kinda love it. I completely understand why folks are having a hard time with it but the drama and interplay it creates between the two of you brings me joy that outweighs the bad audio quality. Of all of your newer partnerships, Dave, this is one of my favorites. (Except for that one time Scott was in the car during a family road trip, that was pretty bad LOL)
