I have redrawn Maki's first adventure.

Maki is quite tall, she is 174 cm. Her hair is dark brown. She like gymnastics, languages, and history. While being quite athletic she is not particularly fond of ball games . . .

She likes Nudle soups like Udon ( recently she prefers sandwiches).

She s attending the same school as Yumi, Caro, and Candy.


I really like loose socks. Not that I enjoy drawing them but I want to see them. Especially when combined with more fancy shoes.

Nothing like a good bone-breaking double feature to start the day! It’s a nice approach to show the incident in the story portion, and then include the casts that follow in a separate illustration. Excellent work as always!

The accident scene is simply wonderful. It reminds me a lot of a similar scene I wrote for my “Teacher series”, but in that case Miss Miyuki - who had a leg already in plaster - slipped on a blackboard eraser that her pupils were using as a ball... I like it a lot too the idea of a drawing describing the stages of the accident and then a separate drawing depicting the aftermath. The image of Maki, aching and contrite, with her arm around his neck and confined to a sofa is stunning. I absolutely love the way she holds her plastered elbow and how she rests her healthy foot on the plastered leg in an attempt, perhaps, to get to scratch the toes, so swollen, of her plastered foot. The detail of the high-heeled shoe (just one, for goodness sake!) lying next to her on such a couch of pain is simply superlative. Once more... B-R-A-V-O!!!
