The story is cute as hell: the careless classmate not only closes the door in her face not paying attention to the limp Kaori who was right back there. As if that were not enough, the head-in-the-clouds classmate even drops the banana peel on the floor after he has finished swallowing it. A few seconds later that same peel is, invariably, the launching pad on which poor Kaori's wedged sandal takes off. For the second time, a banana peel knocks her out: I doubt that in the coming weeks of enforced immobility struggling with a brand-new plastered leg, it’s wise to offer the lovely (and at the same time enraged) Kaori a banana, claiming that "it's for your own good, it's very rich in potassium and magnesium, a panacea for your poor broken bones." I imagine Kaori might react in a way not exactly polite....

Last but not least, a special mention for the orthopedic wedge sandal that the poor girl is forced to wear as the footwear for her healthy foot. The thick wedge serves her, not only for aesthetic reasons, but, above all, to even out the thickness of the toeplate of the cast and, moreover, of the rubber heel on which the poor girl manages to hold herself (precariously balanced...). It’s beyond obvious that the prudent Kaori had a non-slip rubber sole installed under the cork wedge of the sandal so that she could have maximum grip on the ground.... A laudable intent, but, when tested, not more than a futile effort! No non-slip sole can hold up in the face of the classic, very slippery, banana peel. The beautiful Kaori will have (at least) eight weeks to think of another solution, although I doubt she will be able to do without a wheelchair for her movements...
