Chandler

This was honestly the first chapter I felt actual fear for Allie. My heart rate is through the roof. I understand he is the Chosen one for the goddess. The other chapters don't really inspire fear in me. Lust, arousal, sure, because thats part of the reason we read these. But this chapter brought real fear from me; made me really invested. The entire story has been building quite well around this mystery of the Eldritches. The constant building up of Allie, his many tools and weapons in his arsenal have made him a broken character (overpowered), where nothing can really defeat him. Yet the build up of the constant discovery of how the Eldritches are, they exist, spread, etc. had created an amazing plotline that now has Allie facing the greatest threat possible and we, as the reader, recognize he is actually too weak. He isn't this insanely buffed out character that is a god among others, instead he now faces a monster that makes all other Dungeon creatures (that we know of) pale in comparison, including Wren and Allie's own monstrous abilities. Overall, the writing has drastically improved, and the fleshing out of the plotlines has been executed so beautifully that I am enraptured by this chapter, truly on the edge of my seat. I actually yelled out-loud "NO!", when i saw there wasn't another chapter currently. Someone else said "I came for IDH but stayed for Combat Healer", and I relate to that very well. I came for IDH and kept putting off reading Combat Healer. I actually dropped my subbing level because i felt the pace of writing wasn't fast enough because CH was taking too much time up. Having finally read CH, I am floored by the change of pace, writing, and plotlines going on. To have two well thought out series going on at the same time that drastically differ in the pacing and character arching is amazing. Furthermore, the time skips and flash backs at the beginning of each chapter really add to the storylines. I am amazing and really excited for each chapter. Bravo to Kaizer Wolf for making a real Legendary fight. I can not wait to see how it unfolds. Keep up the great work!
