It is nice that Kaizer listens to his readers and allows polls to help him direct the story. Please also understand that I appreciate everyone's feedback and respect their right to vote as they see fit. Your opinion is valid as the question simply asks who you want to see on a regular basis. As a writer, I couldn't issue polls. My characters take on a life of their own and tell me what they will and won't do! I had to kill a character because she would not align with the plot that I had decided and written on already. Likewise, I think that Eliza, as a character, would insist on playing a prominent role in the story (and Alister would agree). Not only is she queen, but she is the only 'for sure' love interest of Alister. They had a tremendous bonding event in the dungeon, and when they got back together, Alister gave his all to her to defend her vs the 'spiders'. That love hasn't died. I am curious why people chose the way they did. To start the ball rolling, I will provide my rationale for my choices. I am a romantic. My first choice had to be Eliza, besides she is the queen. By the title alone, she will have a prominent role to play. And as stated, this is the real romantic couple. I don't think that the story has demonstrated a close bonding of Alistair with any other character in the story. He has had sex (usually only once) with several women and seems to have expressed varying degrees of affection with them. Yet, I have not seen anything that I think proves love. So, I went on the side of the females and chose Wren and Val. I don't find either of those characters to be sexy. Although I like voluptuous women, it seems that Val is a true cow. Then Wren is a combination of a girl and a monster. That's not so appealing either. Eliza sounds sexy but is portrayed as a mommy that is strongly attached to a woman. I hope that is toned down. The proportional Blake would be more along my tastes than many of his harem. Yet, I hope that the faithfulness of Wren and Val to Alistair is eventually rewarded with his love. Why did you choose who you chose?

I have the same poll for different tiers, and I 'tend' to favor the results of the poll for the highest tier. In the highest tier, the results were: 1) Wren (103 votes) 2) Astaer/Celestine (98 votes) 3) Eliza (88 votes) 4) Val (79 votes) 5) Blake (65 votes) Which more closely resembles your own rating. Mel and Sylvia were last by a lot. Mel won't be leaving the plot anytime soon (neither will Sylvia), but when I decide who will get more 'screen time' (or who will get more romance development), I like to take this kind of thing into account. For instance, I wasn't initially planning on including a lot of Astaer and Celestine, but I might have a bit more of them later down the road when the plot allows for their involvement. I also do these polls for fun and/or just out of curiosity. Because sometimes the favorite characters aren't who I expected.
