- CHAPTER 122 -

After admitting to Rachel that I’d basically had a hand in her very existence, I sort of had an idea of how she would react, not fully understanding why I knew what to expect, and so almost wasn’t surprised by her behavior afterward.

Acting as if everything was normal, and as if I hadn’t just dropped a massive bomb on her head that probably altered everything she understood about her own life, as well as who I was to her.

Thing was, I kind of understood why.

She was going to cope with that information by mostly just accepting it at face value, at least for right now, and waiting to actually process everything until later. Once she had time to be by herself to think about all the implications.

No doubt she’d contact me again sometime in the upcoming week, wanting to know more information. Or otherwise asking questions to try to clarify things.

For now, she was mostly just acting normal.

Laura a bit less so.

Not that she was acting weird, but it was obvious everything that we’d disclosed, as well as everything we’d talked about in general, was weighing on her mind.

Both women seemed sincerely relieved when Joseph finally began to rouse, with him abruptly shifting into exactly what an incubus was supposed to look like.

Gray skin, white hair, and gold eyes.

They were both relieved, in part, just because it meant he was okay.

One of their best friends was okay.

Rachel was relieved to see that he wasn’t permanently hurt after what she’d accidentally done to him, and Laura was relieved likewise just to see that her trusted friend was awake and well. However, what I hadn’t expected was for Laura to immediately start chastising him like a child.

“Now, don’t let this go to your head, Joseph,” she chastised firmly, sitting down on the couch next to him as she scolded him. “In the event that you discover you truly can compel other women now. Part of why I value you as a friend so much is because you’ve always been respectful to women. That better not change.”

“Of course,” he replied sincerely, still sitting on the couch and overall just looking stunned by their transformed appearances, this being the first time he was seeing their new forms. Shifting his gold gaze back and forth between looking up at Rachel’s dark gray face and then back down at Laura’s maroon complexion.

I wasn’t too surprised, considering their emerald and gold eyes, contrasted against the midnight background of their sclera, was pretty captivating. Never mind that, despite being so dark, Rachel had frosted lips and eyelashes similar to Michelle and Avery, her lips especially so shiny that they looked almost like she was wearing white lip gloss.

The only thing he didn’t seem to notice was the glowing white ring around Rachel’s pupil. But honestly, even from a few feet away, it kind of blended in with the green, giving off the impression that her eyes just became a very light shade of green right around the pupil.

The stunned look Joseph was giving both of them made Laura’s tone more firm.

“Are you listening right now?” she demanded.

He gulped. “Err, yeah. And I know. I won’t compel anyone,” he promised.

She seemed to accept that response.

I let the two women explain to him what happened while he was passed out, and also tell him the ‘news,’ about this bond that they shared with me, being able to sense my presence.

He certainly didn’t sound overly enthusiastic to find out about that part, but seemed to get over it really quickly when Laura elaborated on the slave ring. Admitting that she’d been forced to spy for our father all these years.

It actually made him sincerely pissed.

Fucking bastard,” he hissed, only to immediately apologize to her, as if it was his fault, turning toward her more on the couch. “Laura, I’m so sorry. I had no idea. Please forgive me.”

“It’s not your fault. No one knew, and I wasn’t allowed to tell anyone,” she said with disdain. “So don’t blame yourself. At least he never made me do anything too horrible.”

“Still…” He paused, suddenly looking around for me, only to spot me standing back by the stairs, shifting his weight on the couch to look at me. “Kai, finding out about this changes things. Obviously, it was bittersweet before, but now I’m truly glad you got rid of him. He was no different than our brothers. And really, the only reason why he never took advantage of my friends was because it was too beneath him. Too boring for him to even bother. But he still held the same disregard for them. Still viewed them as only property.”

I simply nodded.

He grimaced then, changing the subject. “So umm, this bond thing…you’re not going to do it with the others, right?”

My tone was serious. “I will absolutely avoid it at all costs. It had to be done with Rachel, there was no choice. We’d all be dead otherwise. And Laura would be dead if I hadn’t done it to her, since even cutting off her foot, or even her entire leg, might not have stopped the curse.”

Laura gasped, as if she hadn’t even considered that being an option, only to grimace deeply, giving me an apologetic expression. “T-Thank you,” she managed. “For not…doing that. For not cutting off my leg.”

I focused directly at her, my tone a bit hard and with a hint of sarcasm, even though I wasn’t trying to be sarcastic. But I supposed I was still a bit irritated deep down by how she reacted to me initially saving her. “You have my regeneration capacity now, so your leg would have grown back eventually. But yeah, think maybe that what I did to save you was a bit more ‘kind’ and ‘humane’ than the alternative?”

Her grimaced deepened at my tone, and she fully adverted her gaze again. “Thank…thank you,” she repeated. “And I’m sorry for earlier.”

Honestly, her previous apology, after she talked with Rachel alone in their vehicle, had already been sincere…

But not like this.

The first time had been more about apologizing for being rude, but this apology was more about truly being appreciative that I’d spared her a horrible experience, by choosing to save her through forming this bond, rather than an alternative.

Of course, both apologies involved the same words, but there was a huge difference between the two intentions.

And I could both see and sense that her overall opinion, and feelings toward me, had just dramatically shifted, just like that. For previously, she’d still been uncomfortable about being within my control. But now, between me healing her female lover of her blindness, and now also understanding that I’d saved her without harming her, she felt…

Indebted.

Appreciative…

Willing.

I could see it in her gold eyes, even though she wasn’t looking at me.

I could feel it in her aura.

Even if I truly wanted to make her my woman, and wanted her to have sex with me day and night, this was an agreement that she now realized she would have chosen willingly, in exchange for me giving Rachel her eyesight back, and in exchange for me saving her in a manner that didn’t involve losing a limb. More than that, not just giving me herself, but she would have also willingly chosen to share Rachel with me, in exchange for those gifts.

Freeing her from the ring without harming her.

Healing Rachel of her blindness.

Those gifts were worth that exchange.

And so, everything about her demeanor toward me had suddenly become much more submissive, all because of the realization that ‘cutting off her leg’ might have otherwise been our only chance to save her. As if it was the final piece in the puzzle that let her see the whole picture.

And now she couldn’t meet my gaze.

But I could feel her willingness and submission both.

A willing submission.

I took a deep breath, deciding not to keep hammering the point in, when it had clearly been made and understood. And especially since, neither Joseph nor Rachel seemed to pick up on the dramatic shift that just occurred.

Instead, I frowned as I shifted the subject to something else more pressing. “Honestly, speaking of that slave ring, maybe the three of you should check the girls upstairs. Make sure we don’t end up with any unexpected surprises. Because, if I know about something in advance, it’ll give me more time to figure out how to solve it without resorting to something like forming a bond with them.”

“Oh shit,” Laura gasped, all three of them visibly alarmed by that possibility, that there might be another slave ring.

They all then exchanged urgent glances.

Especially since they all seemed to wear jewelry, including toe rings, a major reason why Laura’s ring hadn’t seemed odd to any of them.

Problem was, what I didn’t initially realize…

Was that they wouldn’t be able to detect the difference by sight alone.

Rachel was the first to point that out.

“But how will we know if it’s something like that? Instead of a normal ring?”

Thankfully, Serenity had a solution.

“Just take everything off. Take off all jewelry, and take out all their piercings. If anything won’t come off, then it’s probably a magical artifact.”

Shockingly they all three grimaced at that, Laura speaking up, her tone reserved. “Well, they’re going to be pissed, but can’t be helped.”

“Yeah,” Joseph agreed with a heavy sigh.

“Pissed about what?” I asked seriously.

Joseph and Laura exchanged a glance, only for Rachel to speak up. “It’s because they have piercings…down there. Like, the labia.”

My eyes widened at that. “Oh.”

They really had pussy piercings?

I mean, I knew it was technically a thing, but I never imagined I’d meet anyone who had such a thing. Especially since, at least in my own perception, it was kind of a slutty thing -- in a hot way -- but also still kind of slutty. Sort of like how most viewed a tramp stamp tattoo on the lower back.

Like, Miriam and Mrs. Rebecca both had been highly promiscuous before I met them, at least partially out of necessity, and yet even they didn’t have tattoos or abnormal piercings…

Which…I only just now realized might be due to religious beliefs.

Although even Delilah didn’t have any markings. The most abnormal piercing she had was a belly button ring. Which again…could be due to religious beliefs.

“Damn,” Natalie commented, her light brown eyes wide. “I can’t imagine getting piercings like that. Do they actually like it?”

All three of them looked embarrassed to be discussing this.

“Umm,” Rachel said hesitantly. “Well, yes. I mean, that’s why they have them. All of us are actually…pierced down there.”

“Shit, Rachel,” Joseph hissed. “You sure got comfortable with them.”

“I mean, it’s not really that big of a deal,” she retorted, even though she visibly looked embarrassed.

“Kind of is, honey,” Laura replied.

“Wait,” I said in shock. “All of you are pierced? Including you, Joseph?”

Normally I wouldn’t ask such a thing of another guy, but I was just too shocked to care.

He cleared his throat, not meeting my gaze. “Umm, yeah. Chicks love it, in case you didn’t know.”

Damn.

I wasn’t sure I actually believed that, specifically because all my women were listening in right now and not a single one of them found that idea overly enticing -- the idea of me having piercings on my cock. Not that they disliked the idea, but they didn’t exactly like the idea either. As if it was neutral to most of them, with some leaning in the direction of ‘yeah, don’t do that.’

In particular, the less neutral ‘don’t do that’ was coming specifically from Serenity, Miriam, and Delilah.

The former two being the primary opinions I would have valued most.

Serenity wanted my cock ‘as is.’ She was literally visualizing holding my cock in her hands, feeling the curves of my head and enjoying it ‘as is.’

Miriam wasn’t thinking of a specific reason why.

And Delilah just wanted to be able to fuck me as rough as possible without having to worry about a piece of metal hurting either of us. She wanted to clamp her cervix down on my head without having to worry about it being uncomfortable for her, due to a piece of metal on my cock.

All of which kind of made me wonder if the reason why Joseph thought chicks loved that kind of thing was because being ‘part incubus’ meant he could unintentionally cause women to get excited about anything.

Essentially, they saw not just the cock they were expecting to see, but one that had something ‘different’ going on, and their passion-drugged minds got even more hot and bothered. But they might have been equally hot and bothered by almost anything ‘different’ at that point.

The only person who was mildly interested in the overall idea of piercings was Natalie, and she was specifically only interested in potentially getting pierced herself, otherwise being someone who felt more neutral toward me having piercings -- not liking it, but also not disliking the idea to the point that she would ask me not to, if I had wanted to.

But for her, the idea of having the ‘weight’ of heavy jewelry tugging on her pussy lips enticed her.

My blue-haired wife wanted to ask Rachel and Laura if it hurt getting it done, but before she could decide if she wanted to actually verbalize that question, Delilah was already answering her indirectly through me.

‘For most women, getting their labia pierced hurts about as much as anywhere else on the body. It’s not more sensitive or anything. Or at least, that part isn’t. There are other parts that can be pierced, which can hurt a lot, but there are also some women who claim to have never been able to have an orgasm prior to getting such piercings.’

The fact that she was so informed kind of surprised me.

But she was quick to elaborate.

‘I don’t do tattoos, but I’ve tried out most piercings at least once. My nose, my ears, my lips, my navel, my pussy, my nipples. There isn’t much I haven’t tried, but I’ve always lost interest eventually and let them heal up over the years. Plus, live long enough and one of them is going to get ripped out, which can suck. Probably didn’t help that I always liked to fuck a bit more aggressively than most. Err, hope that isn’t too much.’

‘It’s fine,’ I thought. ‘I’m well aware the kind of life you used to live prior to meeting me. But I do want to move this conversation to a different topic.’

‘Of course,’ Delilah thought in response. ‘Was just wanting to be helpful.’

‘You were, because Natalie didn’t have to ask an awkward question.’

Delilah was amused by that, and Natalie a bit apologetic, but I reassured the latter that it was fine. As for me, I definitely was ready to move the subject along, thankful that Laura’s slave ring hadn’t been attached to her pussy instead of her toe.

No doubt she wouldn’t have been thrilled to have me unzipping her pants to figure out what was wrong.

I cleared my throat, my tone a bit strained. “Well, that’s definitely different. But yeah, Jamie, Emily, and Sarah are just going to have to be pissed, because we need to make sure they aren’t wearing anything that could end up harming them. I mean, silver is lethal to normal werewolves, and while they shouldn’t turn into something weak to silver, we probably shouldn’t take the chance either.”

Rachel nodded, focusing on Laura. “I guess shall we get that taken care of then?”

The rosy colored woman stood back up. “Yeah, let’s get it over with.”

I was a little surprised Joseph didn’t volunteer to help out, considering he was actually intimate with the others, instead only watching over his shoulder as the two women headed up the stairs to gather all the jewelry the three unconscious women were apparently wearing.

He then focused on me. “So, umm…”

I could feel another awkward silence coming, mainly because he made it awkward by not being comfortable with the silence.

Serenity was quick to speak up. “If you’re hungry, we fixed a bunch of spaghetti. Eat as much as you want, because we plan on cooking more food for the others, once they wake up.”

“Oh, I could just order something,” he offered.

Natalie scoffed. “Dude, did you forget what you look like? Not worth the risk, man.”

He focused down at his gray hand. “Oh. Yeah, makes sense. And yeah, I actually am pretty hungry.”

“Have at it,” I encouraged. “The rest of us have all eaten our fill.”

He immediately did so, seeming more at ease to have ‘something to do.’ And then, once he was seated at the table while we waited for Rachel and Laura to return, with him digging into the spaghetti, Serenity filled the time by updating him on everything that happened while he was out, a lot of which Rachel and Laura had already covered, but using it as an excuse to talk.

One thing no one else had mentioned yet was the broken windows.

Joseph didn’t seem too upset about the cost to fix them, just thankful to be alive in the first place after what happened, but seemed overly concerned about how he was going to explain to the repairmen why so many broken windows needed to be replaced.

Granted, he found his own solution pretty fast, deciding to just blame it on vandalism, seeming to just be thinking out loud.

Again, to fill the silence.

If he wasn’t talking to someone directly, then he seemed to talk out loud to himself.

Eventually, Rachel called down to Serenity, asking if she could run them up three cups or bowls to keep the jewelry separate, and Natalie jumped up to help out instead. She then proceeded to stay up there for a few minutes, very curious as she watched Rachel take out Sarah’s vagina piercings, with me focusing intently at the table in front of me, not wanting to ‘perceive’ too much of what she was seeing.

Thankfully, her curiosity was satiated after that, and she came back downstairs.

Joseph was still unaware of the telepathy bond we shared, specifically the strength of that bond, to the point of being able to see into each other’s heads, and so didn’t think anything of it.

Once Rachel and Laura came back downstairs, leaving the cups of rings and piercings upstairs, the conversation flowed much more easily, since Serenity, Laura, and Rachel never seemed to be at a loss of words, with me and Natalie chiming in only occasionally.

Joseph barely said anything at all, though that was mostly because he went through six plates of spaghetti, until it was practically almost gone. He then excused himself to lay down on the couch and let his stomach rest.

Natalie eventually got up to start on more food, the other three women getting up to join her, all four of them working together to fix a more elaborate meal, involving enchiladas, lasagna, and Laura even making dough to make a couple of pizzas.

They were having fun together.

Enjoying socializing and being together.

And they fit together so well.

Rachel and Laura both just looked like they fit perfectly with Serenity and Natalie, even though the former two were still walking around in their demon forms. All of which prompted me to begin passing the time by thinking about weird things related to them ‘fitting together,’ like their ages.

I didn’t know everyone’s birthdays, but I initially realized that the nineteen, twenty-three, thirty-one, and forty-five seemed to follow a bit of a pattern. Specifically, that Serenity and Natalie were three-and-a-half years apart, and that Rachel and Laura were very clearly fourteen years apart.

On its own, that didn’t seem like anything unique.

But when considering Serenity and Rachel’s ages, I realized the actual difference might be close to seven and a half years. Something that really stuck out to me when I asked what Natalie’s birthday was, only to actually do the mental math, and realize that Serenity was three years and nine months older.

When doubled, that became seven years and six months.

Specifically, someone seven years and six months older than Serenity…would have just celebrated their thirty-first birthday…

Doubled again, to basically fifteen years, and such an individual would be about to celebrate their forty-sixth birthday…

Meaning, it was like the age gap between them was almost perfectly doubled.

Part of me wanted to ask for Rachel and Laura’s birthdays, but I realized that might turn into me having to ‘explain myself,’ and I didn’t want to bother with it right now. Not to mention, I didn’t want them to think I was super weird for occupying my free time with absurd mental math.

Either way, the fact that Joseph was in the other room entirely definitely had me feeling like he was more of an introvert, even though he was supposedly the CEO of a company. It made me wonder if he actually flourished when he was given subjects to talk about, such as stuff that was work related, but when conversation could be ‘anything,’ as was the case now, he felt awkward about choosing a topic to discuss.

I felt like, if the two of us could get to talking about something he was interested in, then maybe he would become a chatterbox, but he unfortunately didn’t make it easy by going to lay down in the other room. And while I could definitely go join him, I also didn’t want to intrude if he wanted to be alone with his own thoughts for a while.

After all, I was sure there was a lot for him to think about.

Not to mention, that’s kind of how I was too.

I’d never been much of a talker, apparently not even in my past life.

Having lived for thousands of years with almost no one to talk to, I was comfortable with remaining still, silent, and otherwise just observing. Probably the biggest reason why I’d always been so quiet at school. Why someone could speak to me, and I could be comfortable just not responding if I didn’t want to. Why Avery could sit next to me at lunch, and why I could even find myself surrounded by all her friends, and yet exist comfortably in that situation as if I were invisible.

However, unlike Joseph, I was very comfortable with silence around others, whereas he clearly wasn’t.

So I let him be alone for now, instead of trying to force a conversation.

It was approaching nearly 4 PM by the time I began hearing changes in heartbeats upstairs, but almost 5 PM by the time I was sure at least one of them was about to rouse. I could now sense the three women just like when Laura woke up, all of them thankfully just as ‘unavailable’ to be claimed as Laura had initially felt.

Honestly, I could even kind of sense Joseph, though it definitely felt a lot different.

Whereas the three women kind of felt like flowing water, something I couldn’t easily grab without a lot of effort, Joseph felt much more like mist.

A vapor.

Of course, using that comparison, Rachel and Laura felt more like ice, not in the sense of them being cold, but in the sense of the bond being a ‘solid,’ with me feeling like they were both easy to grab and hold onto. Alternatively, all my other women were something far deeper than that, as if we were all one block of ice.

Or more accurately, as if I was a big block of ice with many sides, perhaps like dice with six sides, and I had pairs of my women merged with me on different sides.

Like some kind of spiritual molecular bond.

If I imagined my women as having souls that were pyramid shaped, then one point of their souls was melded with mine, while another point was merged with each other, forming a three-way bond on one side of my soul. Alternatively, someone like Natalie was merged with me by a full face of her pyramid, not just a point, which meant that Avery would be bonded with her via a full corner of their inverted pyramids touching, since she otherwise was connected to me by a tip.

An interesting concept that kind of got more confusing when I considered how Rosa might be attached to me.

Because I felt like she would also be connected via the full face of her pyramid shaped soul, and yet there was lacking the intimacy of that mental connection, to actually be able to peer in each other’s heads. Something that only seemed to form when I was bonded with two women on the same side of my soul.

Yet another weird train of thought my mind had wandered to.

Definitely being confident one of the girls upstairs was close to waking up, I decided to let Rachel, Laura, and Joseph know, and pretty much everyone hurried upstairs to Serenity’s bedroom, with all the women taking the lead, Serenity and Natalie included.

I was completely stunned when I saw that Joseph already looked normal again, with him admitting almost sheepishly that he’d been trying to figure it out while he was laying on the couch.

Should have known he would make that a priority.

And that his reason for wanting to be alone had to do with something else.

It made Rachel and Laura both realize that they should probably try to look normal too, but not until after they dealt with the others waking up.

Joseph stopped just ahead of me outside Serenity’s bedroom door, and I stood behind him in the hallway, not sensing any aggression coming from any of them, and thus not feeling like I needed to be any closer. After all, those were his women unconscious in the bedroom, so there was no reason for me to even be involved, so long as there was no danger.

And there wasn’t.

Jamie had been the first, out of the three, to get injected with my blood, and she was also the first to wake up, abruptly transforming as her gold and black eyes popped open.

Looking much like her mother, except with marron skin that was more brown than red. Almost dark enough to pass as a normal skin color, becoming similar to someone who was naturally tan who had been out in the sun too long and had a red hue from the sunburn.

The brown in her hair also turned white, while the purple and pink highlights in her hair seemed to remain, overall giving her a fairly pleasant appearance. The colors certainly didn’t clash at least, with how tan her skin had turned out.

Jamie focused on Rachel and Laura first, since they were right there with her, only to slowly hold up her hands, still laying down.

“Wow,” she exclaimed breathlessly, twisting her arms to look at them. “I’m so dark.” She laughed then, a big grin spreading across her face. “Guess I won’t ever have to suntan again.”

Natalie laughed, grabbing her attention. “Well, you can’t walk around like this. Your skin might look more normal, but your eyes are yellow.”

She looked stunned reaching up as if to touch them, only to pat her pocket, her expression suddenly concerned. “Hey, where’s my phone?”

Laura grabbed it off Serenity’s bedside table, handing it to her. “Right here, honey. We sort of had to take off all your jewelry, and I grabbed that too. Didn’t want you to accidentally break it or something.”

“Why would I break it?” she said in confusion, glancing at her hand briefly, as if to confirm that her rings were missing.

Serenity spoke up. “You aren’t going to take a picture, right?”

“Oh, no.” Jamie slowly sat up then, finally focusing on Joseph at the doorway. “I was just going to use my camera like a mirror,” she commented, holding it up and tapping the camera button.

Only to flinch when she saw herself, her heart suddenly racing.

“Okay, that freaked me out a little,” she said breathlessly, focusing back up at Joseph. “So, how do I look?” she then wondered.

He smiled at her. “As beautiful as always.”

She grinned at that, grabbing some of her dyed hair, trying to pull it away far enough to look at the white, before holding up her camera again, using that to really give herself a look over. “Huh, yeah. I can definitely live with this. Hopefully the pink and purple are really permanent, because that would be awesome when I transform back.” She focused up at Serenity. “Speaking of which, how do I do that? Look normal again?”

“It’s hard to explain,” Serenity admitted. “It’s kind of like an extra muscle, except that it’s throughout your entire body. You have to learn to relax that muscle.”

“Oh,” Jamie said in surprise, her brow abruptly furrowing.

Only for her to abruptly shift back to normal.

My eyebrows shot up in disbelief.

“Wow,” she exclaimed, holding up her pale hands. “Did I do it?” she wondered, abruptly shifting right back to her more demonic form. “Huh, I guess it is kind of like a new muscle. So weird.”

“And what that means,” Serenity continued, getting over her own surprise quickly. “Is that if someone startles you, or if you feel afraid, it might make you shift. Because you’ll want to tense that muscle. So you have to be careful about that.”

Jamie looked concerned now, focusing up at her. “But what do we do if that happens?”

“You can actually learn to control where it starts,” Serenity continued, abruptly shifting only her eyes.

Jamie flinched again.

Serenity laughed, her red eyes returning to normal, even as her hair turned black instead, her necks starting to gray. “Yeah, I scare myself too. Sorry about that. But this is how Kai has always managed to keep his secret hidden. Because he can just keep the transformation to underneath his clothing, or force it into his eyes, and close them.”

“Huh, that sounds useful,” Jamie said with a nod. “I’ll definitely have to practice that.”

“You all should,” Natalie agreed, specifically focusing on Rachel and Laura.

Both women nodded in response to her gaze, only for Jamie to speak up again as her thighs tensed a little, even as she reached up to feel her ear. She focused up at her mother again.

“Hey, did you take out my piercings too?”

“Sorry sweetie,” Laura replied sincerely. “I sort of had a ring on me that was hurting me, and we didn’t want to chance that happening to any of you. I’ll tell you more about it later, but we couldn’t risk leaving anything in.”

Jamie finally reached down with her other hand between her legs, feeling there, even as she continued to feel one ear. “Yeah, but all of them? I think the holes are gone. They’re definitely gone in my ears, at least.”

“Sorry sweetie,” Laura repeated.

Jamie sighed. “It’s fine. Emily can just help me pierce everything again. Not really that big of a deal.”

Rachel scoffed. “Yeah, if only Sarah and Emily will feel that way.”

Jamie shrugged. “Yeah, they’ll probably be a little annoyed, but shouldn’t mind just piercing everything again. Wouldn’t be the first time they took something out for too long, and had it heal up. Sarah does a tongue piercing every couple of years like clockwork, only having it for a couple of months before deciding again she doesn’t really like it.”

Rachel laughed at that. “Yeah. That’s a good point.”

Jamie reached up to her forehead then as she looked up at her mom. “Hey, am I going to grow horns too?”

Serenity decided to answer her. “We don’t know,” she replied honestly. “No two people have been exactly the same so far. And even how fast you grow extra things like horns doesn’t seem consistent. We aren’t sure if it’s because of a difference in genetics, or something else.”

“Does he know?” she unexpectedly wondered, focusing around the room and then at the doorway again, looking for me.

I stepped closer to Joseph so that she could see me, simply shaking my head, only to speak up when I sensed one of the other two rousing. “Someone else is about to wake up,” I commented simply.

Jamie and everyone else immediately focused down at the two other women laying on the bed, everyone specifically focusing on Sarah when her skin began abruptly tanning, much more similar to Avery’s skin.

However, then the unexpected happened.

Sarah didn’t just stop with her skin tanning.

Her ears began elongating…

And she started…

Growing fur.

FEEDBACK: Thoughts? What do you think Sarah is becoming?

Any thoughts about the whole 'piercing' thing? (Specifically, finding out that Rachel and Laura have hidden piercings.)

Hmmm. I think Sarah will become an Egyptian Cat Demon. You mentioned them in chapter 120. Possibly as a hint? The piercings that they have could be just with their group, one liked it and the rest tried as well. Not really my thing, but each to their own.

Pedro Comenda

Wolf, cat, fox, any animal with fur really.

Another amazing chapter! I loved the little foreshadowing for the cliff hanger. Can't wait for the next chapter 👍

Philip Boivin

If she turns into a kitsune I'm gonna be sooo happy.

Hell hound sister foe Natalie

Christopher Miller

TBH, when I see a foreshadowing of something new like the Egyptian cat demon a few chapters back I assume we will be seeing one sooner or later, even if it wasn't one of Joseph's women. So that is definitely that possibility. As for a hellhound, Miriam pretty much ruled that out when she said there was no history of that type of demon mating with mortals. She said they weren't that intelligent and Natalie seemed to be unique in history. Probably the result of Kai yanking out most of the werewolf curse, but leaving her ability to transform, but with his fire magic also changing her. Or maybe her blood affinity also affected her new body as well, sort of like how Avery unconsciously changed herself to link herelf to Kai. She could be a "noble werewolf", the kind that wasn't cursed, but a kind of magical genetic mutation like Ariana. That could be an interesting, non-sexual connection with Kai. She could be one of the other types of imps. I don't remember inferno imps having elongated ears, and there was no mention of a tail or horns developing, and we don't know how submissive Sara is in person. But there are at least two other types of imps out there. Perhaps even this cat demon that's been mentioned is one of them. It's also very possible she's a race that hasn't been foreshadowed like a kitsune, a yeti or one of the monkey people from Hindu mythology.

KaizerWolf

Oh wow, I love the sound of a 'noble werewolf' as being something 'more' than an apex werewolf. Where did that idea come from?

Christopher Miller

It seemed like an apt description for a werewolf that is not enslaved or enslaves others in your universe. He or she has the freedom to make their own moral decisions. Sort of like in 'Compromised Vampire Slayer' your werewolf character has the agency and strength to make their own decisions about family, allies and where to live.
