Here’s a list of most of the songs I’ve listened to when writing Innocent Devil’s Harem. Essentially, a soundtrack for the entire story thus far, which you can listen to on Youtube.

You can subscribe to my channel (if you want), while you're at it.

In general, there are four basic types of songs: (1) Theme Songs, (2) General ‘Stay Awake’ Songs (often have a heavy beat), (3) Plotting Songs, and then the rest are usually just general writing songs.

NOTE: 'Theme Songs' became ‘themes’ because I listened to them nonstop while writing about certain characters, which is why not all characters have theme songs.

Book 1 (Chapters 1-15):

1. Gabriella/Kai Theme Song: All Time Low Clean - Jon Bellion (Ah, ‘broken pride’ - Hmm - hint, hint)

2. Serenity/Kai Theme Song: Stressed Out - Twenty One Pilots (This song starts off…sounding kind of poor quality, but that’s intentional. ‘Turn back time, to the good ol’ days.’)

3. Cadmium - No Friends Feat. Rosendale

4. Nightcore - Not Alone

5. General ‘Stay Awake’ Song: Aqua Vitae - Tape2

Book 2 (Chapters 16-30):

(STORY NOTE: These are all general songs for meeting Avery/Michelle, saving them in hospital, etc.)

6. Entire Story Theme: Robin Hustin - On Fire [NCS Release]

7. Entire Story Theme: Robin Hustin x TobiMorrow - Light It Up (feat. Jex) [NCS Release] (These two ‘Robin Hustin’ songs are ones I come back to regularly, whenever I need to write, and nothing else is motivating, so these two are truly Theme Songs for the entire series.)

8. Nightcore - Can't Get You Out Of My Head (La La La)

9. STARSET - Monster MV - Arknights

Book 3 (Chapters 31-45):

10. Rebecca’s Theme?: Nightcore - Mad Love (This kind of merges a little with previous book, since Ch 28 is when Rebecca and  Kai spend time together for the first time. Probably the closest thing to Rebecca’s theme song, though I don’t technically have one for Avery, Michelle, or Rebecca.)

11. Miriam’s 1st Theme: JVNA - Living In Hell (In a way, this is kind of the ‘first’ theme song for Miriam - listen closely to the lyrics. ‘A prayer, A savior, Fulfilling my favors, I need some help right now, The world is getting way too loud, I don't wanna keep on living in hell.’)

12. PLOT THEME: Besomorph Behmer - What Ive Done ft Lunis (THIS SONG. THIS SONG is the one that is a key theme of the plot that we are getting close to unveiling. The big mysteries of Kai, his past, how he came to be, etc.)

13. General ‘Stay Awake’ Song: RejSende - Anubis EDEXY Remix (This is the song I’ve probably used the most for this story when I was just aiming to stay awake late at night.)

(STORY NOTE: Toward the end of Book 3 is when Kai dies and resurrects as a monster.)

Book 4 (Chapters 46-60):

14. Linkin Park - Numb (Dj Josifer Remix) (Partially related to end of Book 3, with Kai dying and resurrecting.)

(STORY NOTE: Most of the rest of these songs are related to Natalie, meeting her, helping her, etc.)

15. Bulow - Revolver

16. REAPER - IMY (ft Bella Renee)

17. Natalie Theme Song: Tiesto & Karol G - Don't Be Shy

18. Plotting: Nightcore - Dance Monkey - Tones and I

19. Plotting: Tones & I - Dance Monkey (GACHY) Bass Boosted

Book 5 (Chapters 61-75):

20. Miriam MAIN Theme Song: FSDW - Wknd (All that fun sex between Miriam and Kai. All of it was to the beat of this song. Mainly Ch 61 and 62. She didn’t really have a true theme song when she was first introduced. Not like this.)

21. Plotting: Cour & New Beat Order - Stereo Love

22. Madonna - Like A Prayer (Paul Gannon Remix)

23. Nightcore - City Of The Dead (Related to Rosa.)

24. Rosa’s Theme Song: Nightcore - Veni Vidi Vici

25. Nightcore - Something Just Like This (Another Miriam song.)

Book 6 (Chapter 76-90):

26. Ephixa & Laura Brehm - Losing You

27. Hedley - Lose Control

28. Clean Bandit - Symphony Lyrics ft Zara Larsson

29. Light Switch - Charlie Puth

30. Shivers - Ed Sheeran

31. We Could Have Had It All - Ben Berkenbosch (This song starts off slow, but gets really amazing at about 1:10, and even more amazing at 1:50)

Book 7 (Ch 91-105):

32. Delilah’s Theme Song: Yesable - An Alien In Love (This is literally almost the only song for all of Book 7. All of it aiming toward meeting Delilah.)

33. Wellerman - Epic Orchestral Cover

And there you have it.

Please let me know what you think, either about the comments I made above, or if you discover that you really like a song in particular, etc.

Also, I have other Playlists you might be interested in checking out.
