Just got done with another reread and another several things occurred to me. Delilah has to be high on their suspect list, not only for all the reasons Matthew listed but she also 'conveniently' forgot to keep an opal on her which would allow her to cast the counter-curse. If not for Absolom's wife carrying one at all times Judah would have died, which makes Delilah look all the more guilty.
