So happy you started this series! I know how you’ve missed Loki. I have to keep remembering when this series takes place haha. This is a time when your notes will definitely come in handy. And the name of the clock is Miss Minutes! Some of my favorites from this series.

Thank you, Kemi, for a great reaction, as always! And the sceptre, although destroyed by Ultron, lives on in your house. And you look amazing when you’re brandishing it - part-time avenger indeed! I did have a feeling this show, although highly entertaining (how can it not be with Loki in it), might be a bit challenging. New concepts are thrown at you - nexus events, variants, TVA, minutemen (TVA agents), timekeepers, pruning, tempads, and so on. You said it - there’s a LOT of new information and “world”-building during these first few episodes. And right out of the gate too, with that animated “orientation” video narrated by Miss Minutes. I’m glad you’re going to rewatch some of them because this is a very important series that lays the foundation for a crucial aspect of the MCU moving forward. The soundtrack of this show is simply superb. Just listening to it in the background at the very beginning of each episode (during the “previously on” recap portion), mellow at first but gradually swelling and building up to a crescendo - it gives me goosebumps! While Thor’s last name is “Odinson” (son of Odin), note that Loki’s last name is “Laufeyson” (son of Laufey, the king of the Frost Giants of Jotunheim). Laufey abandoned the baby due to his relatively small size (for a frost giant, that is) and was then found and adopted by Odin. Congrats on guessing that the Loki variant is female by observing the body movements! You’re right - you’re really good at this with just small clues. Sylvie’s (female Loki variant) magic skill is “enchantment” (she explained in the third episode how it works). It is similar to Wanda’s (now the Scarlet Witch) mind-control power, but nowhere near as strong (for good reason - Wanda’s powers were amplified by the mind stone); for example, Sylvie needs to make physical contact, can only manipulate existing memories in limited ways, and is not too hard to resist if you have a strong mind. “Where is the TVA?” Excellent question. Even more mind-boggling is the question “What time is it at the TVA?” It turns out that the TVA exists outside of space and time. So, questions like “where is it” and “what time is it” are meaningless. It’s nowhere and nowhen. Confused yet?! (The TVA’s filming location, however, is on Earth, LOL! It’s the Atlanta Marriott Marquis Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia.) When Mobius is investigating a nexus event in 1549 France (Episode 1), he meets a child, who points to the stained glass picture depicting the devil - it’s the two horns in the crown that confirmed to Mobius that the fugitive responsible for the nexus event was a Loki variant. That’s the trademark accessory of any Loki - a crown with two horns emerging outward from the forehead and curving up. Sylvie: “You’re a prince. Must’ve been would-be-princesses or perhaps, another prince?” [raises eyebrows suggestively] Loki: [smiles wryly] “A bit of both. I suspect the same as you. But nothing ever…” Sylvie: “Real.” I love the way the show portrayed Loki’s coming out as bisexual quite subtly, as part of a casual conversation, without drawing attention to it or making a big deal of it. I’m not sure that’s the same girl in different wardrobe in different timelines. Shows have been known to re-use extras (background characters, often with little or no dialogue) across multiple episodes, so maybe your sharp eyes spotted something like that! Mobius and his love of Jet Skis! Buckle up for the next three episodes. The pace picks up quite a bit and the finale is just mind-boggling. I can’t wait!
