I enjoyed your reaction. This film was all about Peter processing his grief for Tony and beginning his journey into mature adulthood. Tom portrayed all the emotions really well. Your superb attention to detail was once again demonstrated when you noticed Mysterio in plain clothes very early on in the Venice market in the background. Believe it or not, I never noticed it until now - I was easily distracted by Peter swooning over MJ in the foreground! This version of Spider-Man (henceforth referred to as “Tom Holland’s Spider-Man”) cannot shoot webs from inside his body even though, yes, he was also bitten by a radioactive spider. This is different from Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man (from the “upside-down kiss film” that you vaguely remember). In the last film (Spider-Man: Homecoming), you saw him create his own web-fluid using chemicals in the school lab. But now, his more advanced suits have web-shooters built into them. (Remember the hundreds of different types of webs that the AI “Karen a.k.a. Suit Lady” offered that he could choose from when he was wearing the suit Tony first gave him?) I loved your afterthought at the end there about the school kid of Asian descent. His name is Flash Thompson. He is such a d**khead, but that small moment at the end was a nice touch and spoke volumes about the kind of relationship he has with his family, beyond just “spoilt rich kid”. Finally, I agree with Theo’s advice above regarding WandaVision. It may seem very confusing at first, and it will test your detective skills for sure, but I promise it will all make sense in the end.
