Hey Kemi! So glad you loved this one. Just to give a you bit more info: 1. This world is so destroyed that lots of folks are born sick or deformed (Nox's tumors that he named are an example) 2. The War Boys (guys in white) are just fodder for Immortan Joe's incessant fights. They are marked for death essentially and so they are said to have a "half-life". The most they can hope for is to die fighting valiantly and go to Valhalla, "Witness me! I will die shiny and chrome on the Fury Road!" 3. The mother's milk is a delicacy especially in a world that struggles just for water 4. I'm not sure you noticed but when Furiosa killed Joe she didn't say "witness me", she said "remember me" - don't just see me now doing this to you, remember me and this and how I brought you down. Furiosa is direct challenge to the War Boy mentality 5. The older Vulvalini woman with the seeds - "What is a legacy? It's planting seeds in a garden you will never live to see."

Thank you for reacting to one of my favourite films, Kemi. There's a lot I can say about it - the visuals, stunts, music, editing, costumes - but I'd better not ramble LOL. I think the main message is to treat people as people, with respect and empathy. The dictatorship had completely stripped everyone of their humanity and reduced them to objects. Max was treated as an inanimate object, a Blood Bag. The War Boys were treated as disposable cannon fodder. The Wives were treated as sex slaves. The other women were literally farmed for breast-milk. Only when the protagonists started to work together, to treat each other as valuable equals, did victory become possible. Furiosa freed the Wives because she saw them as people, not as prize possessions. Max was emotionally checked out until he found a ray of hope again, and realised he could help build a better future instead of only caring about his own survival. Nux realised it was better to die for love than for glory, and sacrificed himself to save his friends instead of suicidally throwing himself into Valhalla. All of these protagonists were very different, but they worked together because they saw each other as human beings who deserved freedom and compassion, rather than as objects to be used and then thrown away when they were no longer useful. The villain lost because his power relied upon threats and oppression - the crowd worshipped him out of fear, but as soon as they realised he was just a mere mortal, they ripped his corpse apart. The War Boys obeyed him fanatically because they had literally nothing to live for except the promise of Valhalla. Furiosa and the Wives won because they brought hope and inspiration. The first time you see the platform ascending, the guards are literally throwing people off, denying them access to the "better life" above - but the second time you see the platform ascending, the Wives are pulling up as many people as they can, eager to share that "better life" with everybody. Oops I rambled...
