C - ANTMAN AND THE WASP - FULL.mp4

Did you notice that the period/full-stop at the end of the sentence changed into a question mark at the end: “Ant-Man and The Wasp will return?” Ant-Man is alive and is stuck in the quantum realm but The Wasp has been snapped out of existence (along with her parents). This is now two MCU reactions in a row that you’ve ended abruptly without any closing commentary. I don’t blame you at all, darling - this film was a quantum-action-packed quantum-laugh-riot all the way up until that quantum-mid-credit scene, which brings you back to the harsh reality of the post-Thanos-snap world. (Side note: it really is fun to just insert the word “quantum” in front of everything!) One bit of detail that you’ll appreciate and was easy to miss from the previous film (because so much was going on and it went by very quickly): Remember the final scene from Civil War, where Steve Rogers shows up to break out everyone who was on his side and were imprisoned in The Raft prison, namely, Scott Lang, Clint Barton, Wanda Maximoff, and Sam Wilson? Well, about 56 minutes into Avengers: Infinity War, Natasha brings Bruce up to speed about what happened in the years he’d been gone and revealed that after “the whole Accords situation”, both Scott Lang (Ant-Man) and Clint Barton (Hawkeye) had taken plea-deals rather than remain fugitives on the run because, unlike the others, these two had families (with kid(s) too) and their deals allowed them to be under house-arrest so they could spend time with them. (Hence the ankle-bracelet that Scott is seen wearing.) As we can tell from this film, Scott certainly made the most of his weekends with his daughter (Cassie). Presumably, the same is true of Clint with his wife Laura and three kids (Cooper, Lila, and the youngest, Nathaniel Pietro Barton) living in their house that we saw become a temporary refuge for the avengers in Age of Ultron. Ant-Man and The Wasp is the 20th film of the MCU. Can you believe how far you’ve come? You’ve consumed 10 years worth of MCU content! It’s really amazing what they’ve done with all these films and their cleverly interconnected storylines. It truly never gets old, even after 20 films!

Sincerely, K.S.O.
