I have loved this story since the movie first released. The melody Ofelia was humming in "A Long Long Time Ago" still haunts me to this day. I love when Guillermo Del Toro does fantasy :) He also did a film about an orphan boy named Simon. So sad, and so beautifully told. The Orphanage.

What a wonderful film. The ending is everything for me, I wasn't expecting it to be so emotional. Ofelia in her mind, even kept her promise to her baby brother to make him a Prince of the Underground Realm. When she arrived in the golden throne room, the mother was nursing her brother. Ofelia's peaceful eternity will be spent with her whole family. Even just writing about it now is tearing me up. Guillermo del Toro is such a great director & writer. He's actually one of the writers for The Hobbit trilogy too.
