I'm so happy you got to laugh so much. I made you cry so much last time with Philadelphia, so, for a change, requested this slapstick comedy. The opening scene ("You are under arrest for the murder of Pierre Fuquette!"), the interrogation of Bizu ("You, sir, are the idiom!"), the accent coaching ("I would like to buy a hamburger!"), and the camouflage sequence at the end are among the best parts of this film that make me laugh uncontrollably! Should make it a drinking game next time every time you say "Stop it!" or "I can't!" Now for a prediction. I mentioned when I requested this reaction that this will be a controversial choice. When this goes on YouTube, you will get a ton of comments trashing this movie and insisting that the classic version of the movie from the 60's (which I haven't seen yet) is much better. Having never seen the classic version, as a standalone movie, I like this movie a lot. Of course, everyone is entitled to their opinion and I know that you welcome disagreement and dissent as long as they are stated respectfully without personal attacks. Fingers crossed!

I love what Steve Martin brought to the production. I even cried at some parts both funny and sad tears. I understand some critics not liking the film but, if you didn't grow up with the classics this one is very enjoyable.
