I cannot wait to watch this! Cyrano was the first play I was ever part of, and this version was beautiful.

Thank you Kemi! What a lovely Friday surprise! I'm so glad you enjoyed the film! The characters, the performances, the costume and set design(!), and (yes...I really really adore this part) the music! I think of all these, the first three are not even contested. But the last one is a bit controversial. All of the main characters were so great in their roles that I fell in love with all three of them. Christian for his sincerity and humility, Cyrano for his passion and expression, and Roxanne for her kindness, her strength, and her persistence in finding love. She was only waiting for the right declaration. Cyrano KNEW she would want poetry...romance....so, he was waiting for...what? It was Roxanne always waiting for love to find her..."someone to claim it" as she said. If Cyrano could have put aside his fantasy, fear, and pride, this all could have been avoided! But I digress! Lol The music...I confess I'm still not sure why it isn't to everyone's taste but I loved it. So many of the songs are earworms that get stuck in my head all the time ("Wherever I Fall" "Every Letter" "Someone to Say" and "I Need More" in particular) Also, the way the songs wove through the conversations and (OMG THE CHOREOGRAPHY!!) the dancing mimicking the music. Ugh, I love it. And the *voices*! I'd loved these actors for other projects but had no idea they had "romance novel" level of emotion to pump into those notes! *fans self* Anyway... Thank you Thank you for this. ❣️
