Great reaction!! A little detail I noticed, at the end of episode Ryuk laughs the hardest when Light asks for Naomi's driver's license because he saw the date of death change with his shinigami eyes!

Once you think you know what they're gonna do, they pivot at the last second and keep you guessing. I, too, thought the fiancee would play a bigger role in the series, or at least last more than 3 episodes.
