Sorry I'm late to this but I'm watching the reaction to ep 2 of the new season and I just feel like pointing out that Seo Yul didn't recognize Naksu even in Season 1 either. He didn't realize she was Naksu from the body, but from the bird whistle thing he made. He realized it was her because he remembered that he carved the whistle, then remembered he gave it to the girl. So he doesn't clearly remember her adult face since most of the time they spent together they were kids and since so much time passed he probably doesn't remember her face that clearly from then either. He saw the dead body once and now 3 years have passed idk if I'd recognize her immediately from that stand point either. Also physically she's supposed to look like mix between Naksu and Buyeon not fully Naksu.

Seo Yul has never met Naksu when she was an adult, that's why he doesn't recognise her. And the one time he saw Naksu as an adult (when she was dead and laying on that table) he didn't realise that the girl he'd been in love with when he was younger was Naksu, she'd never been introduced to him as that so he probably didn't pay attention to what she looked like then. Not to mention she probably didn't look much like herself in that moment. Also I'm pretty sure right now her face is just supposed to be Naksu's, it's the body that is Buyeon's appearance.
