I feel really bad for hui seong because he have seen his grandfather treat slaves badly once when he got the watch as a gift from his grandfather but pretended he didn't see them which in his situation does make sense because nobody can say anything to his grandfather but Hui seong still feels guilty about it if u notice in some of his scenes there is a sound of watch clicking and he is always talking about how the watch keeps returning to him everytime which means that everytime he tries to forget it just comes back to him

Another reasons is that Hui-seong and Ae-shin are engaged. In her grandpa's and other people's point of view, if Ae-shin and Eugene have been together, it seems like "Ae-shin cheated on Hui-seong with Eugene." This is nonmoral Action.
