A Couple Patreon Tier Changes For Next Month (Patreon)

there are a couple small changes that will be rolling out to the devoted and obsessed tiers starting july 1st.

life happens and some delays are inevitable, but i'm consistently not delivering on the monthly update videos, and a portion of those are the patron shoutouts, and of most importance is that when those videos are inconsistent, those shoutouts are getting completely skipped. i'm a one man show here, and life's been getting busier lately, and i don't ever want to not-deliver on things that i promise, least of all in those scenarios where someone has paid for a particular benefit, that's not okay, and i'm not okay with it. so to that end, i'm removing the monthly-video shoutout benefit from the devoted and obsessed tiers. since this past month has already been charged and you all have already paid for that benefit, the update video for july will include those shoutouts. but going forward, that benefit will no longer be a part of those tiers, so if that was one of your reasons for being at those higher tiers, i wanted to call that out before this next month hits in case you wanted to adjust your tier accordingly.

i also wanted to make a slight change to the obsessed tier monthly cards, as well. the mail system has its failings, that just happens sometimes, there's no real way around that. and because they're sent out with stamps rather than tracking numbers, the visibility to any transit issues is basically nonexistent. and as a result, there definitely have been times in the past when physical cards have been sent out and for one reason or another, it doesn't reach the patron. when that happens, i try to be responsive to that and get a replacement issued, but in the meantime, you're without a card. i don't want that to be the case. so from here on out, you'll still have the option to request a card physically or digitally each month, but regardless of which option you choose, everyone will also be sent a digital copy of their card. so if you request a physical one, you can expect to get the physical version, but you will also receive it digitally in addition to that physical version, just so that if there ever is an issue, you at least have a version of your card while we get the shipping issue resolved.
