Is uploading in 4K worth it? (Patreon)

I finally got ONE of my SIX videos uploaded. Should I just compress it back down to 1080?? Can anyone actually tell the difference???

Whatup April! The biggest difference is just pixels. The more pixels the more filesize. 1080 is like 2million pixels and 4k is around 4 times that which will give clearer picture. I don't have a 4k device so i won't see a difference lol

DEZZMONNDDD 💛 What the actual heck. One of my fellow ASMRists told me to Invest in Ram cards and a Wifi extender. Apparently those will speed up upload time? I know since I got here and started using the new equipment my Mac has been DYING and going so slow. 4K is no joke. The fact that there’s people who won’t be able to tell a difference!? Like, I haven’t uploaded in weeks and some of these videos have been uploading for DAYS.

April whatup! Yeah 4k no joke homey. For YOU, upload time will be a big deal so hit this link below and see what they showing your download/upload speeds. www.speedtest dot net I wouldn't even worry about going 4k format unless most of your watchers start saying where's the 4k (which i doubt will happen). You want your upload speed to be at least 25-50mbps

Damn homey, with a 30G file and that speed it could take a long while to complete upload. See if your provider can up your upload a little bit. Extender not going to help much if provider got you capped at 10-15mbps upload speed

4k not necessary at all. 1080 is sufficient IMO.
