In today's show, we give an update on the whole Gutter Oil problem in China. Gutter oil is oil runoff waste that is reused to make food. 

China cracked down massively, even doling out death sentences (rumor) to punish offenders. 

You'd think that this issue would have gone away, but nope. 

It's as bad as ever.

Q I've heard you talk about the Chinese ghost towns a few times now. Did either of you find going through these places creepy or otherwise weird? It seems like it would be pretty disturbing to be in a newly built town that's completely empty.

Hey guys not sure if you've covered this before but maybe you could do an episode covering heavy industry in China? You mentioned the industry belt in one of your recent videos. Would be great to see some footage of the worst of it. Also could lead to discussions about China's energy production. I am particularly interested in the nuclear power push and how much of potential disaster that is just waiting to happen.

It breaks my heart how the US is taking its baby steps toward a communist/socialist party. Look at Australia and Canada. I don’t even own guns, but my God.. how can people even overthrow a corrupt government when they can’t do a damn thing..? Disarming the populace is how they control people. I want to be clear: Nobody should be shot in the first place nor should it be necessary. I haven’t been keeping up with Canada and Australia, but I do know that guns are outlawed and illegal.

There is even a video of that Canadian (I don’t know for sure what’s he’s titled) Prime Minister promising not to outlaw guns and a hilarious clip of him sayin they were completely illegal.

And the whole Bittersweet Symphony thing, which was from The Verve really took off in the US because of the success of the soundtrack album to Cruel Intentions. I remember listening to it over and over in the late 90s (because of limited CDs) traveling Mexico by bike in the late 90s. It was atmospheric and widely appreciated at the time.
