i’m so excited!! i’ve been watching this whole show for the first time with you! time to finish it :,)

Anonymous

This would be my 4th time watching and finishing this show 😭 I'm glad you were able to share your experience watching it here with us on patreon! 💙

ogkpopstan

Thanks for watching along! I felt so late at first and almost didn't want to react to it but y'all Onces really stick by like family. :)

Drasters

Ayyy, hopefully the doc will be useful after this point ahah I recommend watching everything in order <3

Edweirdo

If you are interested, the girls did their own parody show of Sixteen. It is short: http://www.vlive.tv/video/2674.

Anonymous

Hey! I think i saw you on other reactors here on patreon and i was wondering if you could please send me that doc 😅

Anonymous

Yaay! Thanks for posting this Thina! Hope you can also react to their youtube original series called Seize the Light. 😊

And thus, TWICE was born (and also the beginning of Momo's bangs throughout their career until Feel Special Era ). Now that you've finished watching Sixteen, I would agree with watching Time To Twice next and see them with all their crackhead, competitive, and downright hilarious glory. lol :D OR... If you'd like to watch the 1st reality stuff they did after their debut, please do consider watching "Twice's Elegant Private Life". It's an 8 episode series full of classic TWICE wackiness, hidden-camera pranks, parodies *ahem Descendants of the Sun, "steamy" dance covers *ahem Nayeon, Momo, Sana, Mina. And other daily, real-life behind the scenes craziness that can only happen to TWICE. hahhahha.

Migs

Maaaaan, what a heartbreaking show... On a marketing standpoint, survival shows are really the best, but holy crap is it borderline emotional abuse for the young participants... After the traumatic exp that is SIXTEEN, please check out Twice's Elegant Private Life or the Twice in Switzerland, for a more happy viewing haha

Anonymous

Was awesome to see your journey as a ONCE through Sixteen!! I think it would be awesome if you reacted to their Like Ooh Ahh debut stage to round it all off!

Anonymous

Hey Thina, love the journey! I know you’re thinking of doing time to twice, but I think you should check out their docuseries on YouTube called Seize the Light. It’s 9 episodes and 15-20 mins each. It covers their first world tour and hits on Mina’s break from the group. It’s all on their YouTube channel. Here’s the trailer for you to check it out: https://youtu.be/q1vg-PRf3hU

Anonymous

Thank you for the reaction Thina!! Really hope for your reaction to Seize The Light

hoeforhyo

Thank you for this! When I watched this before it really built up my respect for each of them, they all worked hard and did well. I can't wait for you to react to their Youtube docu-series, Seize the Light (you'll really be able to see how much they've grown). Another one for good vibes and pure fun, you can also check out Time to Twice!

James Mclean

Just a quick comment while watching As you were curious about Dahyun's MBTI, I remembered that TWICE did that during a TWICE TV Series Activate CC These are TWICE's MBTI, so feel free to watch them in your spare time, you don't need to react to them as TWICE has so much content :P Nayeon https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1eYQXLIf6d0 Jeongyeon https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=in5_9-loKxg Momo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zRqnxmkS68s Sana https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Huo9LxfAM4 Mina https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GjRJlPFVoZ0 Jihyo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W10pP-jGbpk Dahyun https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ISau-x5qAhY Chaeyoung https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6t1-elj9f5U Tzuyu https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vagr-_RSUVg

I think this is my 4th time through, but the tension and stress (and tears) are still there every time they announce the members. Glad to watch this along with you and looking forward to see what's next.

2whyce

I’m a jyp nation fan so I watched sixteen live and I fell in love with them right away I also remember that i was so angry when Momo was eliminated (she was my favorite from the start), but i’m glad that jyp make the right decision by add momo & tzuyu back because I can’t imagine Twice without all the 9 members 💕 thank you for this amazing reaction I really enjoyed rewatching the show with you, can’t wait to watch your reactions to time to twice💕

Anonymous

thank you for the videos! i had been a while since I relived the show, it never gets any less emotional😭😭 time to twice is a great follow up, consistently super funny, lighthearted, the perfect antidote to any bad day, always a highlights of my week 😄 although as others mentioned, my personal follow-up recommendation is seize the light. its a youtube documentary series they did a year or two ago, and its a fascinating way to see how far they've really come since sixteen. its also only 9 episodes, so it doesn't take too long to get through. I kinda recommend getting those 2 more serious shows (sixteen and seize the light) first to really learn as much as possible, because once you fall down the rabbit hole of their lighter series (time to twice especially) it gets hard to stop. twice tv (tv5 in Switzerland especially) or elegant private life are also solid choices. time to twice is also safe for youtube, so you could even do both if you wanted! whatever you go with, I look forward to the journey :)

James Mclean

So another quick comment.... CJ E&M basically own MNet so you are likely to get copywright claims from them IF you live outside of SK, for at least Music

Although I love Twice and all of its members, this competition show is still hard to watch. It just seems so cruel to have the winners call out the losers they are replacing. Then after they all get replaced, Momo being called out of the blue to become an additional member is definitely a shock to everyone involved. The way it was set up, I can't help but wonder if Chaeryeong thought she would be the ninth member after Tzuyu went up. JYPE had to formally apologize for the finale afterward. Fortunately, Chaeryeong, Somi, Chaeyeon, Jiwon, and Natty eventually went on to become idols. Time to Twice is great. It comes out nearly every Friday when they are not promoting, so there is always new content for Onces.

Harley Abrenica

Thank you for this. I really joined your patreon just to rewatch SIXTEEN. There are a lot of girl groups out there but Twice really is different. They are the complete package. The group is well put together. I love how each member has their own individual charm but they still perfectly fit with one another like a perfectly done puzzle. They really are a One in a Million like how they say when they introduce themselves.

akaHeng

I really think you should watch Seize The Light first It is only 9 episodes. Time to twice and twice tv is endless. You can take your time with those.

Mr Jackpots

I've watched this series several times and the finale always disturbed me, but I didn't know exactly why until this time. It was this. JYP deliberately set up the choosing of Momo to wring the maximum amount of reaction from her and the other girls without any thought about the pain that would cause all of them. I've lost some respect for him because he didn't have to do it this way. He always intended for her to be in the group and a decent person would have gone to her after she was eliminated and reassured her that she would be in the group. He wanted all the tears because it was good television and he didn't care how it affected the girls. He didn't apologize for that, but only for not saying ahead of time that one extra member would be chosen by fans (Tzuyu) and one by him (Momo). Kind of despicable.

Chaengcasso

I would also recommend Time to Twice as Twice TV will take you years to finish lol plus, TTT is ongoing and it's a great series to see their personalities aka competitive, chaotic, and crackhead glory 😆 Twice Elegant Private Life is also good. It's their first reality show after debut and it's only 8 episodes of chaos and fun!

kazer

I think it was due to being shown as a reality-TV show, the format in those always tries to shock audience in every way possible. I don't know how much the show's producers had input in that but I think affected how it was presented. That's just my take on it though.

hanzee_24

I agree with the others.. I would highly recommend TWICE Elegant Private Life first as it is their first reality show after debut.. Then you can proceed with Seize the Lights and TTT.. Thanks for reacting to Sixteen, I enjoyed watching it with you for the nth time.. Hehe! But on the serious note, this show really made me a full-blooded ONCE & stan and love TWICE even more~🥰

mack

If you have time, please react to Nizi project. They are the latest JYP group. Nizi project 2 is coming up next year, sesrching for a male group.

Anonymous

I totally recommend Seize the Light before other things in your Twice journey :D It's a 9 eps (full show is 2 hours) documentary of their latest world tour before corona happens, released in April 2020. it also has snippets of their time at Sixteen too. speaking of their MBTI, isn't it interesting that only Sana is Extrovert and the 8 others are Introvert? ahhaha. Despite this show, their debut EP album 1st day sale was reported at only 708. I thought the show would create more hype. But look at them nowwww aaaa

GOSH i’ve watched sixteen 4 times and every single time this finale has had me weeping. it’s such a mixture of emotions, you are proud knowing how far they’ve come but also you are empathizing with their emotions from that time. i’m just so glad that all of the 16 girls have gone on to a happy life after this show. just in case you aren’t aware, i know there’s other sixteen girls that you know what they’re doing now but i thought i’d fill you in on the others just in case! eunsuh - after sixteen she went on another survival show called idol school but she also didn’t make it to the end in that. she still hasn’t debuted but she has some dance covers on ig and youtube! jiwon - she also joined idol school after sixteen but she made it to the end and was able to debut in fromis_9, an AMAZING group by the way somi - i know you know somi is a soloist but i wanted to point out just in case you didn’t know that she first debuted in a group called I.O.I, they were formed through produce 101 and somi win first place which made her the center of the group! some iconic idols were in that group as well such chungha, lim nayoung, kim doyeon. I.O.I was not a fixed group so they disbanded years ago hence why a few became soloists or debuted in other groups - don’t need to point out the chae sisters cause you already know 😭 but fyi chaeyeon’s group iz*one JUST disbanded not too long ago 💔 so we really don’t know right now what chaeyeon’s next plans are minyoung - arguably the most heartbreaking for me out of all the girls who didn’t make it. after sixteen minyoung literally just left the idol industry completely. like she wasn’t training or trying to debut at all and she disappeared for years, no one really knew where she was at or what she was up to. but last year she came back and started a youtube channel!! she’s been open about her struggles while she was in sixteen, basically the amount of times she failed to debut and the toll training took on her mental health, all to end up not winning in sixteen really discouraged her. she said she almost quit music but then decided to go back to school, she studied english (she’s really good btw), did different jobs and just enjoyed life for a while. she said she did 6 years of training so she took 6 years to have a break from music. and now she seems so much happier and eventually she might release her music soon’ 🥰 EDIT: I forgot to mention that Natty made her solo debut last year!!!!

reginamva

Thank you so much for this reaction Thina! This is my third time watching sixteen and I still cried with the finale. I actually think it's a great idea to see Time to Twice after Sixteen because you'll get to see them now after growing together and generally it's really funny and light so for me I think it will be refreshing after all the emotions and breakdowns from sixteen. You can always pause TTT and see Seize the Light or any other shows. I know it might be intimidating because there are a lot of chapters but you can always stop at any point and just watch them at your own rythm. Anyways I'm just excited for more Twice content, I've been enjoying seeing this journey sooo much

JeongyeonStan

I suggest you watch Twice's seize the light first before jumping onto the TTT series. Its just a good transition to see the then and now comparison. It shows the jourmey they went through as they prepare for their world tour. And it also showcases their reflection as they look back to their career and growth as individuals and as a group. Thank you for loving and appreciating the girls Thina. Youre no baby once! You deserve to be acknowledged as a certified once. We appreciate you as well ❤️https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLyo6W3g1j4QYag-QY_Im0OYoHijdxiXmb

JokerCrowe

I watched this when it was still coming out, i even had a theory bracket with my friend on who would be in twice x) At first I didn't really like the outcome, mostly because I really wanted Minyoung and Chaeryeong to be in the group (not that I disliked any of the other members). But now in hindsight I think this really was the optimal group to make, and especially since 14 out of SIXTEEN have debuted now. :D Also, watching this I was reminded why Chaeryeong was one of my favorite contestants; her vocals are very clean and stable, and in that final performance she really did a great job with the rap! Plus she's as adorable as they come, and she seems to have a really sweet personality, and she's really funny too. x) I know some people seem to think she's overrated, but I disagree, Chae is a very good idol that is underrated if anything.

JokerCrowe

Also All of Twice did an MBTI test (there are videos on YouTube), and Dahyun got ISFJ. :)

My first introduction to k-pop was through Dance Dance Revolution 3rd Mix ver. Korea 2 that my arcade had imported. It had some songs from FinKL, Lee Jung Hyun, Back Ji Young, s#arp, and a couple others. Then eventually I got my feet/hands on Pump It Up, which was Korean-made and, of course, featured more kpop acts. Like it seems you'd done, I became sort of lapsed at the end of the tail end of the 2nd gen. The last thing I can remember following was BoA's American album and movie with Derek Hough. All up until 2-ish years ago when I don't remember what compelled me to check out kpop again on YouTube (probably mainstream news coverage of Blackpink's Coachella appearance), Twice was among the earliest YT reccs, and I just eagerly fell down that rabbit hole, largely compelled by their cute but intricate group choreo. This was the Yes or Yes era, and the arm windmills remain some of my favorite choreo moments in kpop. Like you, I'm a relative late-comer to Twice, and this is probably now my 4th time watching Sixteen. I felt so bad for Chaeryoung as JYP's talking about adding two more members, and you can see the hopeful look on her face as she seems to be doing the math regarding being the one of the remaining two on the Minor side who hadn't just been demoted.

D

Jiwon is also in Fromis9 now as their main vocal. Chaeyon was IZ*ONE's main dancer. Natty is also now a soloist like Somi, you should check out her MVs. I agree with Time To Twice as your next show to check out. Twice Elegant Private Life is also good 😊

Anonymous

suggestion for the next Twice content to watch: Twice's Elegant Private Life :D

Anonymous

I second this one <3 Please watch Twice Seize the Light :)

Anonymous

Hope you can watch Twice Documentary "Seize the light" next. You can get to know Twice better after that documentary.

HansonJuin

I would recommend you to watch TWICE TV beginning episode as there are continuos of their story and they even did parody of the moment they chosen as TWICE lol Also, TWICE ELEGANT PRIVATE LIFE (their first variety show) and TIME TO TWICE showed their playful, silly, ambitious and funny side of them so it will be fine you can doing both as every episodes of the show is not more than 1 hour

Anonymous

Time to Twice (which is ongoing btw) is good too but I think it is better to watch Twice's Elegant Private Life first, because it's their debut reality show and you get to see their different personalities and how they became close as a group.. plus the parody (oops a bit of a spoiler there ><)! Unless you wanna go backwards again with their reality shows and that is totally cool XD

Anonymous

Time to Twice (TTT) is definitely what you should watch next. Its really fun and laid back and gives you an insight to how to members behave with one another. Thank you once again for doing these reactions! All the best!!

Dan

Twice in Switzerland is also really nice you can watch it here https://www.vlive.tv/search/videos?query=twice+in+switzerland

As one of the people that watched Sixteen live, at the time there was a site that did live translations, my immediate advice is to watch the very first series of TWICE TV Since you've watched Wyatt and Cody's TWICE Guide, this series can be best described as the ultimate Introduction to TWICE Sixteen was last filmed on July 7th 2015, TWICE debut on October 20th 2015 This series is the lead in to their Debut by getting to know the members TWICE TV Prologue: Length: 1m24s Filmed immediately after they leave the Stage from Sixteen, there are comments from TWICE https://www.vlive.tv/post/0-18229254 You can use this episode to find the Subtitles and Video Quality which are all on the Videos, there is usually an Advertisement at the start of each Episode The first TWICE TV asked the basic question of how they got into JYPE TWICE TV Ep1: Nayeon and Tzuyu Length: 9m59s The very start of the Series with the oldest and youngest members of the group https://www.vlive.tv/post/1-18238952 TWICE TV Ep2: Sana and Mina Length: 15m52s Sana, Mina and Momo (known as the J-Line among fans) are studying Korean, they are later joined by Chaeyoung https://www.vlive.tv/post/1-18238950 TWICE TV Ep3: Momo and Chaeyoung Length: 12m54s A continuation of Sana, Mina, Momo and Chaeyoung as they all go to eat https://www.vlive.tv/post/0-18229252 TWICE TV Ep4: Dahyun, Jeongyeon and JiHyo Length: 27m55s Dahyun, Jeongyeon and JiHyo are joined by Nayeon and Tzuyu as they all practise their signatures, later they will go out to munch https://www.vlive.tv/post/0-18229250 TWICE TV Ep5: ALL ABOUT TWICE Length: 15m25s JYPark joins TWICE for a meal in a JYP tradition where he eats with members of a group that will debut https://www.vlive.tv/post/1-18238948 TWICE TV continues until today, it mostly covers the Behind the Scenes to their Comebacks. Originally I was thinking of suggesting TWICE Elegant Private Life but I realized that you are on a journey with TWICE, so the buildings (TWICE TV) I have forgotten about after seeing them for so long will be the first you will see after leaving the house (watching Sixteen) So let's continue this journey because the City Lights (TWICE's debut) are often blinding for country folk (Baby Onces) like us.

ThatPatreonThough

Not sure if you heard on your own but all 3 songs they sang for the finale (Truth, Going Crazy and Do It Again) are on their debut mini The Story Begins. The line distributions are different but I would definitely suggest doing a listen through of the album (Candy Boy is my fav b-side of the mini) and the Do It Again re-distribution is one of my faves too, especially for the rap ;)

Justin_AndaKage

Sixteen gets me in the feels every time. To c where they have started as kids really to the women(still babies) they r now. U ventured into Somi. Looking forward if u get to fromis_9. Jiwon was one of the sixteen participants that stood out for me outside of twice. An I’m glad she found a group to b in. They r cute and fun very much like twice. With some really nice beats. On a side note. Weeekly. U should checkout.

RoséAllDayy

Thina it’s been such a delight following along your Sixteen journey with you! I’d only seen half of the show, so the end half was new to me too, even though we obviously knew the outcome. My only real gripe is I wish JYP had just announced who made the group rather than sticking to the whole Major/Minor thing. I thought it was quite cruel for the girls to find out they were debuting at the same time as being told to announce who wasn’t making it, essentially crushing the dreams of their friend. It just took away from what was supposed one of the happiest moments of their lives! Seize the Light is a really great doco. I haven’t seen the other Twice reality shows so I’m super keen to watch along if you do too. Also recommend Produce 101 to see Somi really shine and see other great idols pre-debut like Chungha (especially her!) and Doyeon and Yoojung from Weki Meki. Jiwon is in fromis_9, Natty’s solo debut was super cute, Somi’s solo stuff is great (the I Am Somi reality is worth a watch at some stage too, I think you would like it!), and I’m forever glad the Chae sisters debuted. It’s been a blast following along 🥰

Anonymous

You also need to see their debut stage!!! Their first ever stage was on Mnet i think, the birth of TWICE to the world :D

Crimson

These the order of show to dig deep down into TWICE after SIXTEEN: 1. TWICE Elegant Private Life. 2. TWICE TV - All season (You can watch them in your leisure time). 3. TWICE Lost Time 4. Time to TWICE 5. Their appearance in weekly idol, idol room and knowing brothers (again, watch them in your leisure time)

Chad Williams

Are you gonna react to girls planet now that you finished this survival show

Anonymous

There are tons of shows to watch, the oldest one would be TWICE Elegant Private Life which is like right after Sixteen. There are a lot of seasons of both Twice TV and Time to Twice, but I feel like Time to Twice would be better. It's more recent and has more variety. If you want to see more baby Twice I'd say start with Elegant Private Life, but for current Twice go with Time to Twice.

Anonymous

With Twice there is always a lot of content, mostly at the beginning, so I agree you can watch either Twice Elegant Private Life, Twice TV (There's a lot of it), or even Time to Twice (2020-recent). But I would like to recommend Twice Seize the Light too, it is a little YouTube documentary that can give a more complete perspective from their trainees days, sixteen, and the journey they have had until today. I think this is ideal to watch after sixteen.

BRI.MELO

I think their YouTube Documentary Series Seize The Light is a great option to watch next then Time to Twice :) also TEPL is classic so much content hardworking Queens!

Anonymous

This is 3rd i watching this show. Thank you for your reaction Thina!! Hope you react to TWICE debut stage as soon~

Anonymous

Seize The Light for sure! so you can continue to cry

Regel Matilla

“The last member is someone that this team is lacking.” Tbh now watching Sixteen in full and knowing the members, yeah they were, at the time lacking in the dance category. Damn it’s crazy is was supposed to be a 7 member group. Tzuyu bc of the fans and Momo with her dancing talent and being noticed. It’s a crazy ride even though we all knew who were chosen. I’m just glad ALL members of Sixteen has done something in their lives even after. Thank you Thina for giving me a reason to watch this. ❤️

Anonymous

I always thought the way he announced Tzuyu was very tactless. Like, "I don't want you, but the public did, so here you are."

kazer

I don't know if things are lost in translation but from what I've understood is that Tzuyu's growth was a part in selection in addition to popularity. If it was only one or the other it might not have happened that way but popularity was the factor swaying the selection. That's my view on it anyway. Somewhere it was mentioned that Tzuyu was brought into the show to replace someone and wasn't in the original plan so she was a "wild card" largely unknown to JYP?

Anonymous

TWICE did MBTI personality test, it is in YT.

redhen88

Thank you for a great reaction to a amazing show, have to leave patreon but will be back 👍

Anonymous

Hey can you do TWICE Elegant Private Life. It released after they debuted.

Anonymous

Thanks for this Thina. I cried like the final was yesterday

Everiel Verdadero

Context: you ask what is Dahyun's MBTI They have individual MBTI test on TWICE YT Channel, all of them did the test :) I think you can check that out.

Anonymous

The way the ending was set up was totally cruel to Chaeryeong. She totally had to think she was about to be picked.

Anonymous

On this rewatch I noticed at the end Nayeon and Jihyo made a b-line to go hug and console Minyoung who was supposed to debut in 6MIX with them. I'm sure her elimination was a huge shock for all the 6MIX girls.

Anonymous

Nayeon never misses an opportunity to dote on a baby. During the meet with their families, you can see Nayeon holding Somi's baby sister, Evelyn, on her lap.

Anonymous

This really hits different when you know out of all the members, it was always Momo who bows the longest. It made you feel like she’s really thankful to be where she is right now. It made me really proud how Twice members have always been so humble from their debut even up until now when they’re one of the biggest girl groups in the world.
