This is easily one of my favourite stages of theirs it's sooo ethereal, if you want to check out more of this side of Ateez then I definitely suggest star 1117 and one day at a time, also Their song celebrate they did it for their 2nd anniversary and Jonghos vocals kill it but then again when do they not? Still this was a different level

Also their immortal songs cover of Seo taiji is a must watch for sure

Hongjoong wrote this song, and he has said that the lyrics are for their younger selves, for when they had their hard times during their trainee days. He also said that he purposefully made the sound a lot brighter despite the slightly sadder/emotional lyrics because it's for the people who pretend to be alright even when they aren't. It's truly a beautiful song and like you said, very hopeful. Hope you check out the translation of the lyrics when you can!

The lyrics are so beautiful & emotional. I hope you have time to read them. Hongjoong wrote this song when he was a trainee (the FIRST KQ entertainment trainee) & for 6 months there was no one else just him & he felt alone. This song just says how he felt & how he still kept pushing. Basically “just keep it up” as they say in the song. It’s an inspirational song. It’s so pretty & uplifting.

Also I forgot add, he was the only trainee for 6 months & then Yunho joined. That’s why when Hongjoong is singing alone, Yunho comes to him & they have that cute little part by themselves in the choreo & then the other members come.

hello Thina hope you had/will have a great day. I'm happy you reacted to this song but everything about it hits differently. First, you have the lyrics which Hongjoong wrote to express how lonely he felt since he was not only the first but only KQ's trainee before Yunho joining him after 6 months. The lyrics also conveys an uplifting messages that not only could apply to the boys but also the listener. Second, the nicely done choreography that started with everyone on stage except for Hongjoong which could implies how they all started apart from him because you have both Yunho and Mingi standing together facing different directions and on the other side you have both Wooyoung and Yeosang doing the same and thats shows how both pairs knows each other way before joining both KQ & ATEEZ then you have San, Seonghwa & Jongho all standing alone because none of them knows the other. When Hongjoong joined them on stage you can see that only Yunho was with him for the little dance section during his part which implies the story of Hongjoong being the first trainee that joined by Yunho after 6 months. Apologies for ranting a lot but I couldn't help not point it out lol. Anyways, loved the reaction and the review as always and can't wait for more! xx

You have to listen to ATEEZ - Better with color coded lyrics 😭 they made a song about feeling anxious and it’s just such an emotional song 😢 https://youtu.be/XqlqabPPP9I

I remember when this came out I cried so hard..I was going through so much and they dropped this. It really hit I wasn't sure why been then I heard the line "Just keep it up", and I quickly found the lyrics and bawled while I read the lyrics one part hit harder than the rest...."Why is my life so dark? Why, always makes me hard? A lost heart The burden on my shoulders Let's wait a little longer Even if it's cold It's gonna rise. Sooner or later Let's wait and see, alright What I want someone to say to me Even if it's a lie "You don't have to worry." "You're doing great." "Just keep it up. Just like you do now." No matter what some people say No matter what some people hate No matter what the things that make you sick Just keep it up So everyone can see Just keep it up more For the world to hear Just keep it up Sometimes I don't feel like it But I just keep it up Just keep it up Just keep it up" The way they sing the lines, the emotions you get feel watching them perform this...I will forever be grateful...I sincerely feel I found Kpop right when I needed it the most cause shortly after my life went downhill and it has yet,(nearly 2 years later) to get better. Kpop has been been a huge part as to why I keep pushing through and refuse to give up.

this song is so so meaningful. The first time I heard it and heard the verse "just keep it up", I knew I had to get that tattooed and then I checked the full lyrics and it changed my life. I'm so grateful for ateez and everything they do for me daily
