So I finally cleaned my office up. It still looks super cluttered but that is the case when you stream/film ASMR. 😅

I never posted full pics of my office before but I thought it would be cool to share with you guys. My window is blocked out because my apartment’s windows are paper thin so I did some DIY sound proofing, but tried to make it look as nice as possible.

My next upgrade has to be some decent lighting. Those cheap ring lights are just not cutting it anymore :P

I stream cal of duty for 2 years and could only manage 40 average viewers. It hurt my mental health a lot so I probably will just stick to ASMR for awhile

Thank you Pickle. I love seeing streamers setups.

I hope to improve it one day. But I don’t want anything too fancy or complicated. I’ve been moving like every year 😂

I could say nice things about it, but instead I’m gonna let the asshole perfectionist in me talk instead: THE CABLE MANAGEMENT. Now seriously, nice setup, but tidying those cables (or at least hiding them) will make it look a loooot nicer than it already is.

I move all my equipment around way too often so I gave up on cable management. It made my life so much harder haha

Holy shit that looks amazing

CJ Mustang

Awesome. I have looked at several streamer specs and most use elgato keylights.

Nice setup! I was an electrical engineer by trade and it's taking quite a bit to not nerd out about acoustic baffling. Call it work-related OCD.

J-Trom

Definitely a LOT more space than before! 🥰

Oh, I remember a few shots of the old one. I’m amazed that you were working on that tiny spot. You e come a long way and you slide serve every bit and more! Proud of you! Keep moving forward! ❤️🥰☺️

Rantco

Not until atleast 3 or 4 fireplace streams dammit! HAHA

Looking great Pickle! Love it! Let me know if you want some suggestions on lights. I really like mine...

If you actually are curious, you may want to consider getting just a solid sheet of polyethylene or, if you're fancy, neoprene, to deaden the sound from your window. you can order to size and just block the whole window. The trick is you want some dead air space. so a sheet of baffling, some air, then turn your wedge foam to face the outside. It'll look lamer, but give better performance. Also, neoprene is a great insulator, so room temp may be more stable. Right now, you're probably getting like 10-15% efficiency out of the foam; just flipping the wedges so they face out might up that to 25-30%; getting a sheet of sound barrier could up it to 50% or better, but is kind of a pain in the ass. If you want to get super nerdy, the principle is you want to change sound energy into thermal energy through friction through the baffling material. The shape is important for a couple reasons - one, it helps with sound reflections by redirecting the waves into the baffling material, and two, the thickness of the material determines to some degree the frequency it baffles, the thinner the material, the higher the frequency. That's why most sound baffling is better for high frequency stuff and less effective at blocking low frequencies. If you don't care that much, this never happened...and my apologies for the dozen edits : P also the pun did not escape me : )

Love the behind the scenes pics!
