- Weapons and Inventories 0
Hello! Hope that you have all had a fabulous Christmas, and are excited to get back to your games! Here's the major feature poll for 2.8. Current planned features are:
Import Custom Deities & Religion overhaul
In order to make the deities that are imported actually have a meaningful impact, we need to add some more religion stuff- things like daily and weekly rituals, and abstenances.
Mockup of what it might look like:
Implement the Fantasy Plant Compendium
/u/NeurotoxicNihilist has given permission to use his Fantasy Plant Compendium in the generator. This would have the largest impact on alchemists, but would also be something that would be included in the random encounters.
NPC Hobbies and Homes
Hobbies will open up a new avenue for NPCs to scrounge for more money- those that are running at a deficit will find themselves unable to afford expensive hobbies, and instead opt for ones which might help them put food on the table, such as fishing. NPCs that have an excess of money or live a lavish lifestyle might be able to spend more money on their hobbies. NPCs who share a social hobby will be able to bond with other NPCs that are of the same social class.
NPC homes will be worked into the existing roads and structure framework, built out of appropriate materials. NPCs will share homes with their families, and the user will be able to flag homes which they wish to appear in the roads list, for easy access. NPCs that are able to perform services for a party of adventurers (such as clerics give blessings, or sell items to them), or are gregarious enough to allow a party to sleep in their home will be presented as options when there is not a tavern.
Hierarchy systems
Hierarchies are going to improve both the relationships, factions, and the way that buildings are generated; if there's an archbishop in the city, it's unlikely that they would be presiding over a tiny little hole in the wall of a temple, and would necessitate a suitably grand cathedral.
Weapons and NPC inventories
Would be what it says on the tin, though weapons would be more than just generating a "long sword"- suitable tippy descriptions for every weapon. Maybe some spells and such as well!
