So this is going to be a very Canadian thing for me to describe...

I woke up really early this morning at 2:00 am. I go to bed early as well, so this isn't an uncommon thing to have happen. I am normally up at 4 am, so this is only a couple of hours early.

Anyway, I looked at the temperature and it was -18 C (and -18 c with wind chill), so I was pretty happy to see that it was, in fact, "warming up" as the weather had predicted. I sat down and did a couple of hours of work, and then decided that I needed a coffee.

My caffeine addiction is real! :D

So I bundled myself up and headed off to the nearest Tim Horton's. It's a 20 minute walk each way (I've probably pointed that out before). I put on my earphones and listened to my latest podcast as I walked, "Strange Table Fellows".

I got about halfway to the coffee shop, and found myself thinking, "My, this is a rather nice morning! What a wonderful walk I'm having."

It took me a moment, but then I realized that I was "having a nice walk" in -18 c weather.

This is what happens when you are insane enough to walk for coffee when it's nearly -50 c outside. -20 just seems so... "normal". :P

Also, just to give you an actual update, I am feeling rather tired today. Almost assuredly it has to do with the recent cold weather, the lack of sun, and the season. So I am going to push some stuff back a day. I will post more Big N Pink Jogger tomorrow, and I will post Persephone's Gift on Thursday.

I like the way you think, while that here, its 40 °C, with pretty high humidity and feeling like 45 °C... you feel like chicken on an airfryer!

At least with extreme cold there is something you can do: wear more layers. With high heat, there's basically nothing you can do but suffer. :P

That sounds like an average day in the world of Frostpunk XD
