So for the last year or so, I've been struggling with a decision. That decision is what to do with myself.

My Patreon has been far more successful than I ever imagined. I can't thank you all enough for your support. I've talked with a lot of you over the last couple of years, through polls and posts, about how to improve things here. Some of those suggestions I have implemented. Others, such as the change in pay schedule, I really wanted to do but just couldn't risk it (even though I suspect it would have brought me more fans over the long term).

Anyway, the reality is that I am going to have to go back to work. I've actually be putting it off for a while now, but I've started putting resumes out. I am hoping to go back to a full-time job before the end of the year. If that happens, then I will be putting my Patreon on pause for a while. That will mean that you aren't billed each month. I am not sure what happens if new people try to join. I assume they can't if my campaign is on pause.

I thought about deleting my site, but I don't think that is necessary or very fair to any of you. Honestly, it just wouldn't make sense because I'm not intending to quit. I'm putting it on pause to give myself time to adjust to my new schedule with whatever job I get. Once I have adjusted, then I intend to return to making comics.

So if I do get hired before the end of December, then my campaign will go on hold before the end of the month. Again, you should not need to cancel your pledge, you won't be billed while it's on pause, but you certainly can if you feel that you want to. I would certainly understand if you did. :)

I'm not sure how long it will be on hold. I am hoping just a couple of months as I adjust and figure out how to make comics in my spare time. I will certainly keep you all informed as things develop.

To summarize:

1) I have to go back to work

2) Patreon will go on pause/hold

3) I intend to be back.
