Good morning! ;)

I thought I would write an update this morning and let you all know what's been happening. I have been home in New Brunswick for two weeks now. Technically tomorrow would be two weeks, since I flew on on June 04, but you get the idea.

I have been unable to find a place to stay so far. That's not to say that I am out in the street, as I've been staying with my parents, but there is a serious lack of apartments in the general area. There have been no bachelor or 1-bedroom places available at all.

So I have had to apply to 2-bedroom apartments, which is more room than I need unless I get a roommate. I would prefer not to get a roommate, but we gotta do what we gotta do. :P

Searching online has revealed very few places. I have ended up walking by myself, or having my parents drive me around neighborhoods, and writing down phone numbers from the front of buildings. Even when I do that, however, they have no vacancies. O_O

On top of that, the prices are simply ridiculous. I knew the state of the Reality market when I moved, but I really didn't think it would be this bad in somewhere like N.B. It's a small Atlantic province. It's kind of the backwater of Canada. It really shouldn't be this hard to find an affordable place here.

I called one place earlier this week and all they had was a 3-bedroom for $2,500 a month! I mean, I know that rent in plenty of places are higher than that, but that is an insane price for a 3-bedroom apartment in this area. I can buy a really nice house for that kind of cash!

Anyway, all this really means is that things are still progressing. I have not had the movers deliver my stuff yet, so I am still without my main computer. I am still looking at places, and I am waiting for a couple of call backs later today.

So we will just see how things go. :)

No need to panic! We're just in a holding pattern, and I am trying to be patient.

New Brunswick New Jersey, or Canada? If it's NJ, check streeteasy.com. All I see are affordable apartments in New Jersey. Unfortunately, my job doesn't allow me to live out of state.

I heard that housing situation in Cada is absurd, but this is bonkers.
