So about 15 or 20 years ago, I moved over 3,000 miles from the East Coast of Canada to Alberta (which isn't quite the West Coast, but it's awfully close).

I moved for work, as there just wasn't much going on in New Brunswick at the time. Certainly there were not a lot of IT jobs, which was my profession back then. If you searched all of N.B. for IT jobs, then you might find 2 or 3. Whereas if you searched one city in Alberta for IT jobs, then you would see closer to 20 or 30.

I found work pretty quickly after moving, and I enjoy it out here.

So I had no intention of moving home for a long while, but it has started to come to mind in the last few years. My parents are old, and currently in good health, but they are getting older every day (aren't we all?). My Dad, in particular, is starting to decline a little.

Because of this, I have decided to move home.

I want to spend more time with my family. I can't really afford to fly home and visit on a regular basis. If I could, then this would be less of a concern. It has been over 7 years since I have been home.

I have grand-nieces and grand-nephews that I have never met. Whole branches of my family that I barely know.

So I have made the decision to move home. I am planning to do this on June 3rd, a little more than a month from now. The move will take 2 to 3 weeks. My plan, right now, is to pause my Patreon for the month of June while my stuff is being driven all the way across the country (4,500 km).

My computer will not be available while my stuff is enroute. I will be online, as I will still have my laptop, but I will be unable to render new content or access Clip Studio Paint to postwork stuff.

What I might be able to do, is try to double up on work during May, save it to the Laptop, and post it during June. Patreon let's you schedule posts, but only a few days out, not weeks.

I feel like I should just pause things. If you have any thoughts on this, then I would love to hear them.

I have been working on this for a while now (a couple of months): getting quotes, talking with my family, and making arrangements with my current friends.

So that is my big news! :)
