What's Happening

What's the big story? PMC Wagner Group no longer exists, with the remaining fighters integrated into the Russian Ministry of Defense. 

What's the second story? The heaviest fighting continues to be around Avdiivka, where Ukrainian forces are facing extremely challenging conditions.

•  There are no map updates
•  Fighting continued in the Kupyansk AO with Russia and Ukraine trading territorial gains
•  The Russian Ministry of Defense reported fighting in the area of Dibrova (again)
•  Ukrainian forces were back on the offensive at Klishchiivka
•  Fighting continued on the edge of Horlivka and expanded to Mayorsk
•  Russian forces continued attempts to expand their area of control north, west, and southwest of the Krasnohorivka Plateau near Avdiivka
•  Heavy fighting continued on the southeastern edge of Avdiivka in the industrial zone
•  Russian forces continued subordinate attacks on the southern flank of Avdiivka
•  Russia launched 14 attacks on the western and northwestern edges of Marinka, trying to complete their capture
