The goal is turning tactical successes into operational gains into achieving strategic objectives.

Unfortunately, the Russian military is also learning and adapting to some extent. That’s part of why this Ukrainian counteroffensive is taking time. Underestimating the other side, including their ability to adapt, is very dangerous. I hope that the Ukrainians can always stay a step - or more - ahead.
