Flash Report 11 AUG 2023 - 13:15 PDT - DPICM isn't as Big as HIMARS, but it is Changing the Battlefield (Patreon)

We've updated the map and expanded the area of Ukrainian control at Robotyne in the Orikhiv area of operation (AO). There have been several videos released on the northern edge of the Russian stronghold showing Ukrainian troops moving with impunity with no sound of gunfire or artillery. Based on this intelligence, we adjusted the map. DPICM has played a role here.

The members of the 11th Motor Rifle Regiment (former 1st Army Corps of the DNR Vostok Brigade) remain surrounded in Urozhaine and the encirclement they are in is shrinking. We also moved the line of conflict. DPICM is preventing the 11th from retreating south, along with Russian blocking troops, and also preventing resupply or the ability to send a meaningful number of reinforcements into the village.

Russian propagandist attempts to claim all is well in Kozachi Laheri on the left (east) bank of the Dnipro River have backfired spectacularly. We have marked the entire settlement as contested on the map based on their claims. While we consider Romanov Light a red list (don't use) resource, he is reporting directly from the outskirts of the settlement and it shows that all is definitely not well. Romanov has claimed for days Ukraine controls part of the settlement, and that now the eastern side is under attack. Another propagandist, war criminal, and Russian collaborator, Valeria Petrusevich, shot a report from the exact same location several hours later, claiming there were no Ukrainian troops in the settlement, where in the background you could clearly see the fighting has intensified. This advance isn't due to DPICM. 

In the August 7, 2023 SITREP, we went in-depth on why the Ukrainian bridgehead at Kozachi Laheri has us wondering if there is more to the situation than harassment and touches. Russian sources are reporting that Ukrainian SOF are operating as far south as the M-14 Highway, and are ambushing Russian convoys. If this is all starting to sound a lot like Izyum 2022, you would be correct. The biggest difference is that the Dnipro River, even in its current state, is a much bigger barrier than the Siverskyi Donets River.

One closing note, Ukrainian defensive lines remain stable north and northeast of Kupyansk.
