Housekeeping - Why We're Using Telegram More (Patreon)

We've had a couple of complaints about more videos coming from Telegram versus Twitter and that they are hard or impossible to view without a Telegram account.

We have been sourcing more from Telegram because Twitter has shown signs of being unstable (not comment on management), and linking to footnotes to back up claims that could disappear or be inaccessible creates a whole new world of problems. Personally, I don't think Twitter will ever go away, but every day that goes by with a demotivated skeleton crew of engineers is one day closer to a significant outage. Having worked for a company that once lost a huge amount of legacy data infuriating key customers, I'll admit to having some degree of hyper-vigilance on data integrity.

It has taken much longer than the team, and I have wanted to grow and make changes, but a lot is happening, and there will be a series of announcements in December. I appeal to our readers and listeners for some patience. It will take a little more time, but we will have a better video solution by January 2023 that will improve the experience for everyone and have us not run afoul of content moderation rules or mass reporting.
