For the time consuming process of ripping all your home media, there's a project I used from github called automatic ripping machine that will just take in a disc, rip it, and eject it when it's ready for the next.

I am a huge fan of Anime used to subscribe to Funimation now on Crunchyroll. There have been quite a few anime from when I was a kid growing up in Hong Kong which I have not been able to find so have done the same thing as Sharon and get them imported. Wish you could get them with subs easier
