Great news that all the Lane family have settled in well and are happy. Some Aldi fruit and nut chocolate for breakfast and it was great listening to you all remembering the good old days. Shortest day of the year now #MerryNearlyChristmas

I liked the discussion about how Microsoft is "skating where the puck is going", while Sony is "skating where the puck is". It makes me wonder if there is still residual caution at Sony from the PS3 launch, where it tried to present the PS3 as a home media center and that effort got a lot of backlash and negative press. Since then, Sony has tended to side with existing technology while quietly promoting any new technology. The most obvious example is supporting physical discs when Microsoft went all digital and didn't even have a disc reader in its console. Sony still had a large digital library, but there marketing leaned towards discs.

I always think of Xbox One as the one that got all the backlash for being presented as a home media center.
